For many years I have dreamt of finding a charity that accept hair extension donations. Let’s be honest, we all love a new set of hair extensions and often make the investment whilst our existing ones are still in perfectly good condition! Now those old extensions that end up in a box under the bed, or the bin, can help change the life of a child - 𝑨𝒎𝒂𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈!
The charity I will be working with is please take a look at their wonderful work, this is a 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 service they provide to under 18 year olds.
Little Lady Locks accepts human hair donations and human hair extensions to create their wigs, hair systems, and customise their hair accessories!

This is something that requires experience and skill to create, so often I see horrific balayage blends using extensions. I always advise my clients to opt for warmer, darker tones of caramel rather than “blondes” this way everything appears blended, with no need for harmful lightening on their natural hair! 🖤

ᴀᴛᴛᴇɴᴛɪᴏɴ‼️ With summer around the corner (hopefully 😳😂) I’m going to take a minute to remind you about 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎!
When suncream gets on blonde hair extensions, it can cause them to turn orange/ pink. This is because some sunscreens contain ingredients that react with the hair and cause a chemical change. The most common culprit is avobenzone, an oil-soluble ingredient that absorbs UVA rays. When avobenzone comes into contact with hair extensions, it can cause the hair to break down and become discoloured (and potentially ruin them, if you do not take precautions to avoid this)
There are plenty of avobenzone free sun creams out there, just pop me a message if you’d like some recommendations!
