This week was a very busy one in Shirley’s Pantry. There was a Red Velvet Sponge with cream cheese filling and LOTS of chocolate on top, then there was a lovely soft Victoria Sponge cake with my silky smooth buttercream to fill and coat the cake, then topped with a bottle of Rose wine and lots of strawberry & Cream Lindt chocolates to decorate. Next came a chocolate fudge cake filled and coated with chocolate fudge buttercream and topped with lots of chocolates to decorate. Finally there was a Victoria Sponge cake filled with my silky smooth buttercream then iced all over and decorated with my handmade decorations of a black Labrador with his food and ball 🤣
I want to thank Deb for entrusting me with her cake and Ryan’s 40th birthday cake. Also thank Kelly Leatherbarrow for her order of the Doggie themed cake too.

The cake was for our Grandson Nathan McNally’s 24th birthday today 💝

This weeks cake was for a lady who will be 80 years young and plays Crown green Bowling.
Hope Sandra likes her cake and enjoys her party.

Today was about fresh cream scones for our friends Graham and Marks garden party.

When you are away on your holiday in Crete you get an order for 140 cakes 💝 Then you check the date they are required for and it’s just 2 days after you return home 🤣 Well it’s just a good job I’m an organised person. Came home Thursday evening and before I went to bed the washing was done, dried and put away so that Friday was clear for all this baking 🤣
All done now and just waiting for it to be collected 💝💝
The cakes are a mix of Fresh Cream Scones, Coffee & Walnut Slices, Chocolate Fudge Cupcakes, Lemon Drizzle Slices and School Cakes 😋

When you’re asked for a McDonalds themed cake……. Well this is my version of it . A 3 layer Victoria sandwich cake sandwiched together with my lovely silky smooth buttercream and raspberry jam. Then iced and decorated with my hand made fries and Big Mac! Hope Leanne Nabb likes her cake Kymberly Carden.

Today was a day for a yummy 3 layer Chocolate Fudge cake sandwiched together with rich chocolate gnashe and oodles of fresh cream 😊 and if that isn’t enough it’s topped with more fresh cream, fresh strawberries and Cadbury’s Chocolate twirl 💝

A 10th birthday cake for a beautiful young lady called Thea who loves horses 💝
So as you can see this is a horse themed Victoria Sponge cake with a lucky horseshoe on the top. As usual the decorations are all edible and handmade by me. 😊

When your first born asks if you’re making him a cake for his 50th birthday ! He then says can he have a chocolate fudge cake then this is what I made for him ❤️
It’s obviously a chocolate fudge cake but it’s sandwiched together with different flavour gnash between each layer !!
Sooooo the fillings he had are-
Mint choc chip with Tia Maria
Almond, Orange & Cointreau
Rum & Raisin with Dark Rum
Hazelnut with Coffee Salford Rum
AND then I topped the cake with some of my home made Boozy Chocolate Truffles ♥️
Not the prettiest cake in the world but it was gorgeous 💝😘

And another celebration cake made its way out of Shirley’s Pantry today. This time it was for a Manchester City themed cake.
A 3 layer Victoria Sandwich cake sandwiched together with my lovely smooth and creamy buttercream then iced and decorated with my handmade decorations.

Another day for Afternoon tea in Shirley’s Pantry. This time it was an afternoon tea for 3 so had to split it into 2 boxes!

A bit of fun came out of Shirley’s Pantry this week 🤣 A lovely young lady called Molly had her 9th birthday and her mummy asked me to make the little lady a cake. Molly loves Turtles and star fish so I made this cake for her with her turtle ( it’s a lady turtle so she had to have a pink bow round her neck!), star fish and sea plants.

What can I say ! I asked my beautiful talented, kind and caring niece in Brisbane, Australia to make me a christening present for Baby Romano and wow did she deliver ❤️❤️
Not only did she hand make the wall hanging but also included a little keepsake for baby’s mummy AND wrote a beautiful poem too which she included with the gift.
Everything was well wrapped up and posted out to me in time for the Christening and I couldn’t be more proud of you Rachel, you are a star ⭐️

AND IN ADDITION
Rachel made me a wall hanging to put up in Shirley’s Pantry with a fabulous verse etched on it too!

🌺🌺 What an absolute pleasure to be asked to make this Christening Cake, cupcakes and school cake for Baby Romano’s special day 🥰

I made the 2 tier cake in a vanilla flavour with quilted sides and made every one of the tiny balls within the quilts by hand. I also made the bootees from fondant along with the hearts and stars topper.

The cupcakes all have a fondant topping complete with my handmade decorations.

Finally the school cake is Vanilla sponge decorated with icing and sprinkles on top 😋

This latest cake from Shirley’s Pantry is a racing themed cake. It’s a Victoria sponge cake in 3 layers sandwiched together with strawberry jam and my home made silky smooth vanilla buttercream (tastes like ice cream 😋). I then printed the photographs on icing and then made the fencing and rosettes.

Oh how I enjoyed making these First Holy Communion cupcakes. ❤️
The cupcakes are vanilla. I made all the decorations and as usual everything is edible.
