Nice to have European Sprint Duathlon Silver Medallist Abby Scales pop by the shop with her new silverware and four-legged friend last week! If Tom Pidcock can take his pooches on the podium, why can't our champion Abby do it too?! Just 7 weeks until the World Spring Duathlon Championships in Australia.

Thanks for all the love and kind words about our adventure up north on the Ride to the Sun event these past 10 days or so. Your support means a lot to us.

Wow!! What an EPIC experience with these truly amazing Buxton Cycling Club members and friends.

Here's a selection of snaps from the many memories I will cherish with the BCC team during the "Ride to the Sun" event last weekend. 14 of us joined the many hundreds of riders through incredible scenery and lovely conditions making it all the more enjoyable.

Pat and the team completed the 100 miles in actual riding time of 6hr 20m although there was a stop or two along the way to enjoy the warm welcome and a brew from the local supporters who made all this possible..

Thanks to the organisers, all the hospitality and especially Sarah the bagpipe player at the top of the Beef Tub climb, it was midge central!!

A hardy group from Buxton Cycling Club will be joined by Pat from Peak Ascent Cycles this weekend, off to Bonny Scotland for the "Ride to the Sun" cycling event.

They will be cycling 100 amazing miles through the night on lovely quiet roads from Carlisle in England, across the border to Scotland's Lockerbie, Moffat, Penicuik, through Edinburgh and ultimately finishing at Cramond beach.

90 miles of peaceful rural roads will abruptly end as they reach Edinburgh at nightclub kicking out time, shortly before reaching their destination in time for sunrise at 4:27am.

Congratulations Abby Scales! European Sprint Duathlon Silver Medallist in the 25-29 AG sprint in Coimbra, Portugal🥈🇬🇧 finished 6th overall. Our local lass is in fine form with a number of podium finishes in her past few races. The winter training is paying off!

World Championships in Australia are just 8 weeks away. Come on Abby!!

It was great to have Petra Wiltshire pop by yesterday from Reilly Cycleworks to show us a very nice Reilly Reflex.

Awesome day out at the Buxton Mountain Time Trail.

An epic day lay ahead for the riders entering this year's timetrial run by Buxton Cycling Club. Experiencing everything from sunshine to showers, downpours to heavy wind and some hail thrown in for good measure it wasn't a day for the faint hearted.

Well done the organisers, marshals, helpers and riders .

A big shout out to Josh who rode extremely well, improving by over 2 minutes on a much tougher day than last year and Mark who stormed round to take the the Vets prize and finishing 5th overall.

Congratulations to all

We will be closed on Good Friday to cheer Josh and Mark on in the Buxton Cycling Club Mountain Time Trial. Open as normal again from Saturday.

The PACMAN is back in action for this weekend's Manchester & District TTA 10.

This is a 10 mile time trial medium gear 72" which Pat will be riding again on fixed wheel.

Pat previously completed in 29m 18s at last year's event, obviously looking to improve on that and have something to celebrate on top of his birthday!

Tracey Gregory is also representing Buxton Cycling Club at the event riding the Open 10, good luck to you both from all at Peak Ascent Cycles!

Huge congrats to Marianne Vos, winning her debut Omloop Het Nieuwsblad over the weekend 👏

Riding a Cervélo for team Visma-Lease a Bike, Marianne accelerated spectacularly out of Kopecky's slipstream to take the win.

Vos is one of the finest athletes of her generation, winning multiple Olympic gold medals and World Championship titles.

We currently have one of Marianne's Cervélo racing bikes on display in the shop and encourage everyone to come and have a look.

We're absolutely made up to be sponsoring and supporting several young British athletes on their journeys and an official supplier of Cervélo bikes.
