Priority breeds represent those breeds of most concern, which are both rare and have increased inbreeding (Red).
At Risk breeds represent those breeds with lower numbers than ideal and with a degree of inbreeding that gives cause for concern (Yellow).
There are a few notable changes to the Watchlist this year, and some additions made within the Feral Equine Population section.

Some eye-opening stats below…
Nearly two-thirds of owners (64%) say they let their dog roam off-lead in the countryside.
However, almost four in ten (39%) admit their pets do not always return when called.
Please Keep dogs on a lead when walking in rural areas where livestock are kept but let go of the lead if chased by cattle.
