Richard has recently spent 2 weeks down in Devon hiking along the coast. Not quite what he will be contending with in October when he takes on a 3 week trek in Nepal, but it's all miles in the legs.

Updated Polar Bear Crestron Home Integration

With our driver you can integrate Polar Bear thermostats in a Crestron Home System, supporting the operation of the thermostats as a stand-alone system without requiring a complex BMS. ⁠

The new update adds some advanced features which will really help further simplify installations. The latest Polar Bear thermostats and firmware, including Ursium, are now fully supported. Any UMC relay output can be controlled from the demand on multiple thermostats - a real get-out-of-jail feature when the common pump demand wiring between manifolds has been forgotten.

The addition of an engineering mode permits full access to all Modbus registers, allowing for remote configuration on the live system - no more messing around swapping cables to allow a PC to communicate.

Group thermostats within your Control4 System

Our Thermostat Group driver allows multiple thermostats to be controlled together, simplifying how you interact with your home. This solution is ideal for large projects with multiple HVAC zones, as it gives the opportunity to combine multiple zones, such as an entire floor, for easier control.

When configured these will appear in the Control4 UI as a typical thermostat. Controlling the group will relay the commands to each thermostat in the group. The Thermostat Group will dynamically update to reflect the available functionality of the thermostats, and their overall state.

Integrate Zentium thermostats into your Crestron system.

The Zentium thermostat from Polar Bear Design is clean and simple in its design, with a rota dial and intuitive interface. With our driver you can now integrate Zentium thermostats in a Crestron Custom System, supporting the operation of the thermostats as a stand-alone system without requiring a complex BMS system.

AC fan-coils are controlled directly from an auxilliary connection on the thermostat, allowing the thermostat to gradually bring on the AC as it needs. A companion Manifold controller connects to the same wiring bus, providing a complete integrated solution.

Used in conjunction with our BMS Monitor you get access to a wealth of historic data to fully understand how the system is performing and rapidly diagnose any underlying problems with heating or insulating the home.
