EASTERN FLAVOUR is a collection of 6 sampler (virtual) instruments: Kanun, Santur, Oud, Bouzouki, Mandolin and Cretan Saz. These are all instruments currently played in many Mediterranean and Eastern countries. The sampler instruments will suit composers, movie and theatre producers who want to add some authentic folk sound to their musical works. All recordings took place in a controlled acoustic environment using quality microphones, preamps and converters. These beautiful and quite old acoustic instruments were multi-sampled with care and we’re distributing their digital cousins through our online store.

Check out our Bulgari (Cretan Saz) and Mandolin sampler instruments for KONTAKT and EXS24. The Bulgari is quite a rare instrument which belongs to the family of tamburs and used to be wide spread in the island of Crete. The Mandolin is used worldwide but also has a long tradition in the Greek islands and is one of the main instruments used in Cretan music.
