The Hummingbird hawk moths are back feeding on our perennials, didn't stay still long enough for a photo so here is one from last year!!

We had a special visitor today - a hummingbird hawk-moth! It fed on all our new autumn plants and recommends the pansy, viola and aster with a side order of cyclamen.

The bees are giving our summer perennials a great reference....

To be fair, Valentines day has never been a thing for us being a hardware shop that sells plants rather than flowers. I asked a colleague to make us a display and I think we have rather proved our point....

These roadworks are really bad for trade. We wouid just like to say that our bike racks and car park are open as normal. We have free local delivery too. Luckily nature is still showing up, first bumblebee of the year on our hellebores!!

Someone with their sustainability hat on asked if we knew the origin of our early daffodils. It is Fentongollan farm near Truro, we phone every week to order them freshly picked
