We had a wonderful time on Saturday with the amazing Stapleford Choral Society - new in St Mary's Church, Sawston which was looking so idyllic with its coat of snow. Thank you to the audience who joined us in singing carols, Christmas concert is definitely our favourite!

Lots of seasonal music and a charity raffle!!!!
Join us for our Christmas Concert on the 17th December in Sawston! We have a feast of festive music to share with you, and we'll be accompanied by the marvelous AGSM Academy of Great St Mary's orchestra.
There will also be a charity raffle - please bring some cash for a good cause! - and mince pies, wine/juice included.

He was definitely a sharp man! 🤭
One week ago - in our "neighbourhood". Many people came to enjoy 20 minutes of music, lights and colourful art by local children, it was heartwarming to see so many families and children enjoying the light show. 🥰

PS: did you know that our concerts are FREE for under 16s? Share your love of music with your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews... We love seeing children in our audience! (next concert Sunday Dec 4th)

A beautiful picture shared by A Cambridge Diary as "5 years ago" . It reminds me of our June 2017 concert when we played MENDELSSOHN's ‘Reformation Symphony'.
December 4th we're playing another of Mendelssohn's Symphonies: the Scottish Symphony ( #3).

Cambridge commemorated the 500th anniversary of the start of the Reformation - the day on which Martin Luther is famously reputed to have nailed his theses to the door in Wittenberg, lighting the blue touch-paper of the Reformation. Cambridge has been described as the cradle of the Reformation in England and many significant events took place in and around Great St Mary’s church.
