On Saturday, April 20th, over 110 players, coaches, staff members, guests, and committee members gathered for the CURUFC Annual Dinner. The evening began at Grange Road in the bar and then moved to Selwyn College, where we captured a memorable ‘one club’ photograph before dinner.

This season has been incredibly intense and successful, filled with many bright moments and remarkable achievements. Captains Emilia Bushrod (Pembroke) and Ben Gompels (Darwin) shared heartfelt thanks following a long but enjoyable season. We were delighted to be part of this special event and celebrate the achievements of the team.

The Varsity Matches, famously known as the Battle of the Blues, have been an enduring tradition between Cambridge and Oxford universities since 1872.
Our congratulations to the Light Blues for their remarkable victories in both the men’s and women’s Varsity Matches on March 2, 2024 in the first event staged at StoneX stadium the home of Saracens Rugby and now hopefully the home of the Varsity Matches!

Cambridge University Women came out on top, as they edged out Oxford to win 10-5 in a thrilling encounter.
Meanwhile, Cambridge University Men team completed the Varsity Match as they comfortably beat Oxford 56-11 !
The Light Blues dominated from start to finish, scoring eight tries on an historic day as they recorded their biggest ever.
