Following the success of our first pub quiz we would like to invite you to our next one on Wednesday 18th October!

It is paramount to us that our valued regulars are able to attend our first quiz night, hence we have pushed back the date!

The Abbot’s Fireside is recruiting! We are looking for kitchen staff, front of house staff and bar staff, no experience required.

The Abbot’s Fireside is pleased to announce its first quiz night on Wednesday 13th September!

We have 10 available tables for teams of 4-6 people each. Entry is £5 per person which includes cheese bites, crisps and nuts! A special quiz night menu will also be available on the night!

We will be open from 5pm however all teams will need to be seated by 6:45 to start promptly at 7pm. The winning team will receive £40 off of their bar tab for the night!

Just wanted to shout out to my member of staff Henry Warren who today got his A Level results and as a result got into Reading University

Congratulations and Well done!!!

We will be showing the woman’s World Cup final from 10am Sunday morning… come on England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

As we start to make a new Menu we will be doing themed nights in the bar and restaurant.

Starting with Curry night on Thursday with a choice of Lamb Tikka Masali , Chicken Katus and a vegetarian Curry all served with poppadoms and Naan bread!

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to my outstanding customer that as always come to support me… also my staff, my new head chef and the amazing performance from the Pennyroyal Clog! that all together made our first Sunday doing roasts at the Abbots a very happy fun and wonderful experience!!
