By now all those who signed up should have received the welcome email. It’s been a bit manic so to those who were expecting something sooner apologies from all the committee team.

Grab a Tea/Coffee or a beer for 13:30, on the 19th Oct in the SU our first lunch time informal social. We can’t wait to get to know our newbies and catch up with the regulars.. Come and say hello, you won’t be able to miss us!

SOCIAL! Friday 21st October grab a drink for 20:00 in the SU, we will go from there! A random unspecific item will be chosen at random for everyone attending to bring the night before, so ensure you keep an eye out on the FB wall.

We hope you have had a fantastic summer.

Welcome to all the new Accounting and Finance Society members and welcome back to all last year's members.

Summer has flown by. We have been working hard to make sure this year the Accounting and Finance Society benefits you both socially and academically, with an equal balance of Accounting and Finance.

This year, the Accounting and Finance Society will have a stand at Fresher's Fayre, which is during Fresher's Week, on Wednesday 21st September, 10.00am - 4.00pm. This year's Committee Team will be there to introduce themselves, discuss the society, assist with sign-ups and give an overview of what our events are this coming year. There will also be some freebies too :-)

So, come and say hello. We will be located at either The Lounge or Augustine House, the finer details of which will be confirmed nearer the time. Watch this space.

We will be aiming to meet around 7pm at Wetherspoons (Thomas Ingoldsby) and then going on from there.

So it's now the final push towards the end of the year, and to celebrate its end we're planning a meal out to Cafe De China on the evening of Friday the 20th of May.

However we need to know how many people to expect to make the booking so simply like this post to let us know you want to come.

Who are you voting for? I am voting for the only lecturer who consistently turns up at our society events.... Who you can pretty much guarantee a email response from on the same day/next day even at weekends and generally is a really humble, approachable, and enthusiastic human being.

The society is currently planning for the next academic year.. We are going to be organising trips into London for all those that are interested in the financial industry, it will be another great opportunity to network and find out a little more about your potential future employer... Hello everyone! I hope you've had an amazing holiday, we're teaming up with the Global Business Society for our event 'A Day In The Life Of An Accountant'.
It's a great chance to get any questions you may have about a job in Accountancy answered, and expand your network.

Did I mention there were also welcome drinks?...

For those coming tonight, there's been a slight alteration... the student Union bar has been taken for a private event and so we're moving next door to Steinbeck and Shaw... see you there!

Just under 3 hours until the drinks get flowing, remember 7 o'clock down in the Student Union!... don't forget your society card for that 10% off.
