3. Get ready for your close-up! – Have your graduation photo taken in the Kentish Barn, Cathedral Lodge Hotel, Cathedral Precincts 📷
4. Make your way to the Cathedral - You must check in to register 1 hour before your ceremony ✅

We're excited to award five inspirational and leading figures within their fields with Honorary Doctorates. They'll be joining over 1200 students graduating next week at our ceremonies in Canterbury Cathedral.
Congratulations to all our talented students and our five Honorary Doctors: BAFTA award winning actress Jessica Hynes, Kent and England cricketer Tammy Beaumont MBE, Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE, one of the most influential women in tech, BBC news presenter Ben Brown and the successful and influential business and NHS leader Cedi Frederick.

🌈 We were proud to sponsor Medway Pride as part of the Universities at Medway again this year! It was an honour for our students and staff to march alongside our LGBTQIA+ community and celebrate love, diversity and unity in Medway.
👋 We welcomed our cohort of short-course students over the summer, developing their academic skills and getting a taste of uni life at CCCU.
🎉 Our Clearing lines were very busy this month, and we are delighted to have secured lots of students a place at CCCU on their dream course. See you soon!
🗓 It may have been summer, but our campus was still buzzing with activity. Students took part in our range of events, including our Pick Up and Play sports sessions, Canterbury City Tours, Movies in the Chapel and our StressLess creative drop-ins!
🏋️♀️ Our gym at Christ Church Sport and Active Health has had a makeover over the summer. Activate your fitness journey and be one of the first to experience the brand new, state-of-the-art gym facilities – new for the 24/25 academic year!

Visit a new exhibition at Beach Creative in Herne Bay which celebrates the history of British seafront amusement arcades.
Tales from the Arcade offers insights into one of Britain’s most-loved activities of the past decade. On display is Arcade Britania, the work of Alan Meades, Professor of Games Design at Canterbury Christ Church University, and photographs of arcades taken by George Wilson in the early 1980s 🎮

🎓 We were delighted to award Dame Zandra Rhodes, iconic fashion and textile designer, and Medway's own Princess of Punk, with an Honorary Doctorate in recognition and celebration of her 50+ years of influence in international fashion.
⚔️ We were proud Headline Sponsors of the Annual Medieval Pageant Trail, commemorating the 850th anniversary of King Henry II’s visit to Canterbury in 1174. We hosted a series of events on campus, including a medieval encampment!
🎭 Canterbury’s Aphra Behn project, celebrated the first professional woman writer in English with a series of events throughout the month. The Canterbury Players performed a special production of her play, ‘The Amorous Prince, or, The Curious Husband’ on our Canterbury campus.
🍄 Professional forager and author, Miles Irving, hosted a foraging event, guiding students and staff on a walk in nearby woods and fields in Canterbury, discovering wild edible and medicinal plants.
📅 It might be the summer break, but our campuses are still buzzing with energy! We’ve hosted a range of summer events, including Outdoor Yoga, Monday Movies in the Chapel, CCCU Creatives arts & crafts sessions, and Taste of Japan, the chance to experience Japanese culture from some of our international students.

🌈 Pride Month – We were proud to once again sponsor Pride Canterbury, with our students and staff taking part in the protest march and festival celebrations in the city. Our team at Augustine House Library have been highlighting some thought-provoking q***r titles at their LGBTQIA+ book display and hosting interactive sessions, as well as a Pride StressLess Event.
📅 Answers Days at Canterbury and Medway – We welcomed prospective students to our vibrant Canterbury and Medway campuses this month, with our amazing Student Ambassadors leading guided tours and helping visitors, even offering free ice-cream!
🏆 Alumni Awards – We hosted our annual Alumni Awards in Augustine Hall, recognising and celebrating our graduates who are making a difference, inspiring change, and making a positive impact in the community.
👏 CCCU wins Whatuni Regional Award – We are thrilled to announce that we have won several South East Regional Whatuni awards and scored above the sector average for all areas.
🗳 General Election Hustings – In the lead up to the General Election, we hosted two free hustings events in both Canterbury and Medway, allowing our students and local communities to pose questions to the candidates. Don’t forget to have your say and vote on Thursday 4 July!

Our colleagues in the University's SportsLab have collaborated with BWT Alpine F1 Team to host a training camp for their Rac(H)er Kart drivers, providing the girls with physical, physiological & mental testing & training to aid in their develop both on and off-track.
The Race(H)er Programme promotes the inclusion of women within the Alpine teams, from technical functions to racing.
Alpine Rac(H)er Programme runs driver training camp at University’s SportsLab Alpine’s Rac(H)er Programme hosted a test and training camp last month in collaboration with the University’s SportsLab.
