If you're interested in learning magic while you study, or just seeing it in person, come by our stand at Refreshers Fayre in Eliot College from 11am-3pm and we can show you a few tricks and tell you how to join the society and start learning, plus you'll be able to get some sweets

UKC Magic Society will be at the University of Kent Freshers' Fayre this Thursday from 1pm until the end of the day.
If you are interested in learning magic whilst you study, or just want to drop by and see some magic, then come by our stall and we will tell you how to get involved with the society and start learning! If that wasn't enough to get you to come along we will also have sweets to give away.

Today we have the talented Lee, who was the treasurer of the magic society for two years running, teaching us coin magic and showing us his brilliant routine!!!

Megan's doing some amazing things within the Magic Circle at the moment, and is really showing how being in the Society can help fuel a career in magic. We were lucky enough to have Andrew Paul and Dave Loosely, from Alakazam Magic come and teach us some amazing effects on Friday 23rd October!

A huge congratulations to Megan Knowles-Bacon, who was the President of UKC Magic Society last year. She got elected to be the Secretary of the Magic Circle and has managed to become the first female officer of the Magic Circle in its history. Megan says that she couldn't have done this if she hadn't been president of UKC Magic Society last year, and we believe her to be a great example of how magic can really open doors for everyone. So get involved this year!! We're going to have a lot of exciting events and activities that you can be a part of and really gain experience and skills that will help you to achieve great things, just like Megan!

Freshers' Fayre 2014 was amazing! We had 127 people sign up to the society, so it looks to be the start of an incredible year! If you're interested in coming to the first Magic Society meeting it will be held in KS17 in Keynes next Friday at 7.30pm. We also have a less formal meetings on Wednesday evenings that will start the Wednesday after. Thank you to everyone who signed up and we hope to see all of you there next Friday! (There will be drinks at KBar after)

The last day of term has been and gone, which means it's time for us to say goodbye until September, and hand over to a brand new committee. The last year has been truly amazing, and we are all very proud of what this society has achieved. We will be watching out for next year to be even better (no pressure on the new committee there!!). We are pleased to announce that we won 'Most Active Society' and were named the 2nd 'Most improved Society' last night at the Kent Union Society awards :) Thank-you very much to everyone who has helped us achieve such wonderful results this year, we've all had a blast!

So we didn't win any awards tonight, but are incredibly proud to have been nominated in the first place! We can still say we were one of the top 4 societies on campus, and our event was one of the best from the year, which is a massive achievement. Thank-you very much to everyone who has contributed to making the UKC Magic Society a success. Congratulations to all the winners tonight, and watch out for us claiming those prizes next year! :D

Tonight we are hoping to pick up Best Event (for ) and Best Society Kent Union awards! Stand a decent shot at each! Fingers Crossed!
