East Kent Ploughing Match Association The East Kent Ploughing Match takes place in September each year, attracting thousands of visitors & is a great day out for all the family.

We were asked if we could make patio furniture to last. The answer is yes! The brief was to make a sturdy chair that wouldn’t move with a side table to match. Powder coated in semi gloss black, boards are recycled plastic composite boards so no maintenance required. Very happy with how they turned out. Let us know what you think. 😊

A pair of driveway gates we recently made and installed. Left as bare metal for the rust patina to develop, then they will blend in and look like they’ve been there forever. Will not need any maintenance either. They needed to be dog proof so some bars were added to fill in the gaps without overpowering the look of this traditional gate. A short run of fencing was needed from the gate post to the house so it was all done to match the gate.

Whilst in the barn or out on the patio, we plan on having lots of lovely Aga baked goodie’s for sale alongside our usual preserves & pickles too.

Certainly a head scratcher to get all the measurements worked out but we’re very pleased with the finished result. Client wanted a strong arch for their vine, width and height was to their dimensions. Left as bare metal to blend in as the rust patina develops. Then it’ll match the handrail we installed.

A few more pictures from the job we did in The New Forest 😊

The entrance. Working with metal means you can get nice sweeping curves which we think makes the driveway look rather spectacular 😊. Add to that another of our own handmade gates, complete with a post to latch it open. All the gates match, made to the size required plus they run at the same height of the fence rails.

We were very lucky to be asked to fence a property in the New Forest 😊. A lot of preparation work at home fabricating gates and posts and sorting the logistics of getting everything to site. We are really happy with the results, will upload some photos over the coming days but here’s 3 to get started!

So we’ve been a bit quiet on here as we were getting things made and ready for a job 😊. All will be revealed later this week now we are home! In the meantime, do you remember the unique ‘post tops’ we made. They are now in situ, along with a pair of driveway gates. The customer wanted to keep the original galvanised posts as they protect the corners of the drive (and our gates!) hence wanting something different to go on top of them.

They say a change is as good as a rest!! 😊 A day out to help our great friends install this run of ‘Arena Mirrors’ They’ve worked so hard to develop their product. It was lovely to go and see them and catch up without needing to travel 6 plus hours!

Something a little different 😊 Tasked with making some post ‘tops’ to replace some old flower baskets. Something that looks great all year round! Pictures of them ‘in situ’ to follow.

A pair of driveway gates. We will be adding estate fencing to the front of this property. The main thing was to get the driveway shut off first. Really like the horseshoe flowers. All left bare metal to develop the lovely rust patina and keeping them maintenance free.

We were asked to make a rain catcher with a difference and they settled for this design. Was supplied in bare metal for the customer to powder coat himself. Were loving his choice of metallic purple 😍

Our first Well Cover! We are very pleased with it after a lot of planning and working out in the design process! Finished in a Matt Black powder coat.

We were asked if we could make the clients own version of an ‘Advent Ring’. After a meeting to discuss design/size and see where it was to hang this is what was made! The metal was cleaned up and waxed as it was to be left natural, some head scratching as how best to hang it to keep it stable, then delivered for the client to decorate. Loved receiving the pictures of it all decorated and hanging. 😊

The brief for this gate was, please include a set of shoes from my horse, plus something to help stop so many leaves gathering at the front door! We’re pretty pleased with the end result! If you’re in need of gates for your house or drive feel free to message 😊

How about something completely different and decorative for your garden? These are our favourite pieces so far. Various sizes, they are all different. Caps are on sleeves so can be removed for re painting, stems are bare metal to allow for the lovely rust patina. We think they would look equally good indoors, for that we would wax the stems to keep the bare metal look. If you have any ideas let us know and we can try to help 😊

A great way of keeping your borders back with these lovely hurdles. For this particular customer it was to keep her little dogs out of the borders (and mud!)

Well unfortunately it’s that time of year again for the Equestrians out there! The chore of haynet filling begins for many. We make these haynet stands to make that job less of a chore and dare I say it, more enjoyable 😊. Left as bare metal, £55 excluding delivery, which can be arranged at cost. Collection welcome.
