Siesta was started in 1983 by Chris and Les Harper with a market stall selling handicrafts from Mexico and Guatemala (hence the name!). Since then we have grown considerably and we now import from countries all over the world, specialising in ethnic musical instruments, clothing and global handicrafts. From our small beginning we have expanded so that we now have a retail outlet in Canterbury and

How adorable are these guys! We were lucky enough to meet with another new craftsman out in Thailand this summer and knew that we would be bringing these guys home with us!
Ghostie and Mr Mountain are incense cone burners, the Dumplings can be used as either incense stick holders or single stem vases and the Mushroom is simply a cute ornament to cheer you up.
