From full blown CGI images to ‘white model’ ones like this, each type serves a purpose. White models allow one to gauge massing and context without getting distracted by the potential materials.

The finished element of a larger site being constructed by studio BRiNER applied for variations to the approved scheme and I think we can agree they look stunning in the sun!

Excited to finally get the planning approval through for this rebuild & refurb project. Designed to take advantage the extensive views across the valley, this eco-house will still nestle into the landscape, with minimal impact on its countryside context.

Further to our previous post - here is another hallway/stair/entrance for the category. A full refurbishment of an existing dwelling in Bearstead gave an opportunity to completely re-imagine this home.

The entrance is always a good indication to the rest of the dwelling. Although the ‘approach’ is the first impression, the entrance is, hopefully, the first ‘wow’.

Collaborating with , we have produced a wonderful contemporary space that the client is incredibly happy with.

From sketching to physical models to 3D images we at studio_briner use multiple means to explore the design possibilities of a project. This is an Eco House on the edge of a AONB - planning approved.

At studio BRiNER we continue to strive for high quality design, that not only enhance their sensitive settings, but also assert strong, positive, individual character of their own.

On this current planning application we further developed our in-house 3D visualisation techniques to help demonstrate how the proposal will sit within the topography and provide a positive addition to a modern landscape.

Contrary to popular belief, we do still draw on paper 😊 Although our main work is still within the education and healthcare sectors, we still enjoy residential - whether that is an extension or new build/s. We have been informed today that have been awarded ‘highly commended’ in the Kent Mental Health & Wellbeing Awards. We have been shortlisted for Architectural Practice of the year. It’s always nice to be recognised for the things we do - transitioning to a 3D software practice and placing the well-being of our staff at the centre of what we do (even before Covid) has been hugely rewarding. This position would be suitable for someone who has the ability to be responsible for the smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis and delivering an effective administrative service to the Directors and the organisation.

HR:

Coordinate and oversee all aspects of HR

Manage recruitment process

Monitor and maintain all staff records

Oversee induction documentation

Coordinate staff reviews

Manage staff training

Prepare and manage budgets in collaboration with senior team

Manage and evolve all policies in collaboration with senior team

Run and manage Payroll

Facilities:

Manage front of house and reception

Oversee utilities contracts

Maintain fire and security contracts and procedures

Assist with health and safety policy

Practice:

Report to weekly meetings and quarterly meetings with senior team

Assist with quality management systems and procedures – ISO 9001, 45001, and cyber security

Oversee design review process

Overview of project procedures and filing

Overview of project archive

Apply for tenders – compile tender documents.

Desirable Skills:

A Value-led individual who is aware of social, ethical and workplace responsibilities

Minimum 3 years experience

Sound knowledge of employment law and HR processes

Strong communication skills & experience of managing a small team

Interest in and/or knowledge of the architecture sector and culture would be a benefit

Organised and able to multi-task and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines

An eye for detail and accuracy with an ability to produce clear, relevant information

Appropriate right to work documentation will be required

working with have designed a 2 bed eco home, replacing an existing stable. The metal & timber structure will incorporate a fabric first approach, solar PV, air source heat pump and MVHR to reduce the energy consumption of the dwelling.

Everyday should be earth day. Our designers and Architects at studio BRiNER all have a passion for sustainability and the environment. How can we Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. in our everyday lives?

studio BRiNER feel that gender (and other) equality should not need a conversation..it should just be a given?
