Sourcing and producing the dressage stars of the future.
Caroline has been around horses for more than 40 years and uses a mixture of natural horsemanship, classical training and good old common sense to help horses become happy and useful individuals. She has been successful in retraining horses who were becoming a liability to their owners and generally causing mayhem!
Nemo, you are just do handsome.
Handsome Nemo (Negro x Rotspon) finally starting to enjoy his work.
New hardstanding for the Winter fields complete. Getting ready for another wet winter.
Beautiful Nemo out hacking with Stryder and I to get fit. Not quite sensible enough to do ride and lead but Faye certainly got her steps in!
When your rather large field ornament comes out of retirement to make this little girl happy, it just melts your heart ❤️
Exciting day watching the girls go on their first hack. Only their 3rd time of being ridden and such good girls.
Thanks to Hamish and Jason at Your Horsemanship.
Lovely Max the Irish Sporthorse, who has been here for schooling livery for 10 days while his parents have been on holiday.
Such a good boy 🏋🐴
A very disappointing day at the Area Festivals today.
Stryder managed to bash his head and give himself a nasty scrape on the way, which resulted in some head shaking and uneven steps in his medium trot.
An uncharacteristically low score of £65.76 meant that he was well down the placings.
On the positive side, he was very well behaved in the atmosphere and tried hard to be good even though he was obviously sore.
Oops, we forgot Sarah left her car parked in the field - she just escaped in the nick of time!
Love the way Stryder is starting to develop his muscle in all the right places. Noone around to video my rides this week but he feels like he's really stepped up in his canter work and all going in the right direction.
There's a reason why I call my page Triple H Equestrian and not dressage and today's emerging video of Charlotte DJ confirms my decision.
True horsemanship is about enabling the horse to work to the best of his ability in a way that he understands and with empathy so that his body improves and he becomes a supple willing athlete.
A horse which is bullied or pressurised into performance will never give of his best. I personally, want to give my horses the best life I can in exchange for a few hours a week of work. Therefore, competing is secondary to training here and the horses welfare is never compromised.
If a secret video was made here, there would be lots of cuddling and soppy talk going on!
All set up for flatwork with Poles at Brittons Farm.
Its not about trotting over multiple pretty patterns - its about mindful, suppling exercises for horse and rider which engage all the muscle groups. A lot of time in our polework clinics is spent in walk as this is the pace where the horses have to work harder to engage their cores and use their bodies correctly. This also brings the tempo down for the more fizzy horses and teaches them that poles are not just for jumping!
So lovely to be teaching Rohan with his new owner. He has been given all the time he needed to get stronger and mentally mature and now its paying off.
Well done
That's my boy..
Back on after a short break. Houston, we have lift off!
The marvellous riding Stryder while my back has a week off to recover. So proud of my boy's development but he needs to stop throwing in flying changes when not required!
Suitable for all ages and abilities. Only £25 pp.
The 3 girls are growing beautifully and all have very different personalities. The blonde bombshell aka Florence sums up her slightly d***y self in this picture beautifully. Midnight is very sensible and protective of her sisters but quite sharp and trainable. And 1yr old Pasha (who is as tall as her 3yr old sisters nearly) is just adorable and has the sweetest nature like her big brother Stryder.
