Let's talk about RFID cloning.

Not the most exciting subject in the world, granted! But control token security has advanced over the last few years to try and stay one step ahead of bad actors who wish to compromise security.

RFID cloning is a 'thing'. The term refers to copying the information held on one RFID token onto another, creating a duplicate token with the same ID information.

The process either involves intercepting the communication between an RFID token and a reader, capturing the transmitted data, and then programming the data onto a blank RFID token, or using a specialised device to read the token information and again write the data to a blank token.
