🖤 I love a full day out that really costs nothing at all, times are hard at the moment so we all need reminding of places like this where fun can be had and memories can be made without an entry fee!

🤍 Yesterday we spent hours there, eating fish and chips (Boofys is the best!), pointing out EVERY seagull and dog, riding the shows (which now on the front they have an area deigned just for little people!), we explored the big pleasure park, played football on the grass and did the coastal walk around to Jackson’s Bay.

SENSORY FOIL BLANKET

🖤🤍 This sensory foil blanket was always my go to if I ever needed 10 mins to myself when Rudy was smaller, he had CMPA and it took us a really long time to get his milk correct so he was a very clingy restless baby and I barely had anytime to do anything. This blanket used to hold his attention long enough for me to have a coffee and admire him from a far. He loved the sound, the bouncing lights and just kicking himself all over the place! 🤍🖤

BEWARE OF THE SANDWICH THEIF!!!!!

🤍 You can’t see here but in my little ones hand is a sandwich, shortly after this picture was taken he was surrounded by geese and one stole it… bad Mum alert but I T W A S H I L A R I O U S!!!!

🖤 Such a lovely walk around the castle well worth the visit, the castle and the grounds are beautiful… a little pit stop in Gregg’s for coffees, sausage rolls and doughnuts was a must too!

PLAYWORKS THE MEADOWS…

🖤🤍 As I posted this weekend, I can’t recommend this place enough… all ages little stars will love getting up close to the full range of farm animals and some added extras like meerkats and raccoons… the food in the cafe is lovely and so are the staff. 🤍🖤

🖤🤍 We have been really busy this week so this was something I used to keep my little star quiet for a little while, while I did my make AND IT WORKED!!!! 🤍🖤

🖤🤍 This is so easy and yet affective, their hand eye coordination is key here and they are also working on their fine motor skills. 🤍🖤

WILD PLACE PROJECT 🦒

🖤🤍 This place is absolutely amazing, all the animals are so well looked after and the whole place is buggy friendly. 🖤🤍

The baby classes help my little stars confidence weekly and the exercise classes helped mine at a time when I felt I’d never get back to doing anything fitness related again! So grateful to them for giving me the boost I needed!!! 🤍🖤

SWIMMING WITHOUT STRESS:

🖤🤍 Failing to prepare is preparing to fail when it comes to swimming with your little star, especially if you have to be on time for a class. I know I’m not the only one who finds the whole thing stressful after chatting to friends and Mums in the changing rooms. 🤍🖤

🖤 Here is my fool and fail proof method to making swimming a fun experience for all:

💧 Packing your bag:

2 WASH BAGS - If you are going regularly or for swimming lesson I have all toiletries for myself and Rudy (I also put in a small cup to wash his mop of hair!) all prepacked and ready to go so I don’t have to do this every time… the key is 2 have 2 wash bags 1 with things you’ll need in the shower and 2 of things you’ll need when you get out of the shower…

A TOWEL EACH
CLOTHES FOR WHEN YOU GET OUT
NORMAL BABY CHANGING BAG
SNACKS + WATER/ WARM MILK FOR SMALLER BABIES
TOYS
SWIMMING NAPPIES
FLOATS / ARMBANDS ETC

💧 Arrive early:

Pick your locker near to where you feel will be best to get ready for example if there is a play pen you’re going to want to be near this… unpack everything before you swim and put in in the locker so you can see everything, so when you are both wet and cold you’re not faffing looking for things!

💧 To the pool….

Here I take both towels and the wash bag with the shower things in, this way you can wrap up and go straight to the shower as soon as you are done.

💧 Shower….

Shower with baby in arms or depending how old they are make sure they’re warm but they can stand/sit on the floor, wash them and you’re done!

💧 To get ready…

Always get baby ready and dry 1st and bribe with snacks if needs be while you get yourself ready! I can’t stress how much snacks can make a difference to you getting yourself sorted!!!
