Tonight our first task was to choose names for each of the Beaver leaders.
Skunk(Dexter)
Badger (Anne-Marie)
Raccoon (Penny)
Wolf (Rebecca).
Really proud to see Beavers restarting tonight at 1st Creigiau.
Really proud and privileged to have been invited to a presentation of Chief Scouts Gold award to two of our oldest Scouts - Rhiannon Oakley and Gethin Campbell. This was part of an event attended by our Lord Mayor and other dignitaries to celebrate and award Chief Scouts Gold Award, Queens Scout Award, Kings Scout Award and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Gethin and Rhiannon joined many other young people who will become members of the Lord Mayors Own Troop. They will be invited to civic events during the next 12 months to support the Lord Mayor of Cardiff and be ambassadors for Scouting.
Once again well done Gethin and Rhiannon for achieving their Chief Scouts Gold Award. Onwards and upwards to Kings Scout Award and Gold DofE.

Scout Group Bonfire evening postponed.
The planned Bonfire evening on the 9th November is having to be postponed due to the condition of the grounds after recent rain and potential weather this evening. We hope to reorganise the event over the next few weeks and will send out invites.
We haven't been on a summer camp since 2019 & it was amazing to spend a week camping in the New Forest.
The scouts got to learn loads of new , take part in loads of adventurous activities and visit the home of , Brownsea Island.

*All Scouts, Explorers, and Young Leaders who will be aged 14 - 17 on the 19th of August 2023 are welcome to come along – including any young people who will turn 18 during the trip.

And that’s a wrap! A brilliant end to a fantastic year at Cubs, with a HUGE water fight!🔫💦
Thank you to everyone who’s supported the new Cub leaders during our first year, the Cubs have been amazing and we’ve loved getting to know them!
Have a great summer, we look forward to doing it all again in September!
We do love to be outdoors at Cubs!
A few stills from last night's pioneering activity, assembling the ladders.
LOTS of fun and games on a sunny evening!☀️
Last night we set the Scouts a pioneering challenge. Each patrol had to build a ladder using pioneering poles and square lashings which was strong enough to take each patrol members wait. They then had to race to get each patrol member over their ladder.
This required teamwork, patience and resilience, which are exactly the type of that Scouts is all about!
More outdoor fun, and Investitures for our newest Cubs. Welcome to the pack guys!
Cubs taking full advantage of the lighter evenings - bark rubbings and a mini beast hunt 🔍🐞🐛🦟🕷🪲🐜🪳🪱
And we’re back!! A brilliant start to the new term at Cubs - a highly competitive game of ‘Ladders’ followed by our very own talent show ‘Cubs got Talent’.
