Today would have been my dad’s birthday and it was the first one without him here. He was possibly the biggest fan of my cakes so of course I had to make one in his honour.
He once said “my daughter doesn’t make cakes, she makes edible pieces or art” and always awed at what I created, even if it was a bit rustic and wonky like this one.

I’ve been abandoning my page recently! Started updating Instagram but forgot to also post here 🙈

I took a long break from business over the last year or so. I got diagnosed with ADHD privately (and am still fighting to get this recognised by NHS so I can get medication) and then lost my dad and grandad within 2 months of each other.
Even though it’s still quite fresh I’ve decided to take things slow but start getting back to work.

Had a go at doing a cake smash with my nephew yesterday - here are the results! Manage to get lots of cute photos of him and as he didn’t destroy the cake much we managed to get some good slices from it to serve!

I made this for my grandparent’s 60th Wedding Anniversary for a meal they had with the family.

This cake gave me a bit of trouble and there were a few times I wasn’t sure it was going to turn out the way I wanted but I got there in the end! Very happy with it, just a shame the chocolate bloomed on the balls

I have decided to raise some money for Macmillan and the best way I can do that is by baking (no surprise) 🤷🏻‍♀️

Unfortunately my dad has recently been diagnosed with lymphoma, and doing this is a way for me to help an organisation that is going to be our support system over the coming months whilst he goes through treatment and also a way for me to process the news in a positive way.

I will be offering different flavours each week for the first 3 weekends of March and next up for collection on Friday 11th March will be:

5 red velvet NYC cookies - £7.50
9x9” box of any single flavour brownies* - £12.50
Choose from plain, salted caramel, rum and coconut, hazelnut cream, raspberry and white chocolate, mint or orange.

There will be limited boxes available. If you have any flavour requests for the last collection on Friday 18th March please let me know!

All profits will be donated to Macmillan once the 3 drops have been completed and I’ll announce the total amount raised so you can all see what you’ve helped raise.
