I’m learning how a scar can affect your body below the surface and the changes of tissue that I saw; really emphasises the importance of early intervention and self care! To learn more please contact me at Fascia & Physio! Thank you Functional Anatomy for creating this course!
One of my passions is to improve post c-section scar care for women. As part of my specialist training I am required to complete some case studies. Anyone interested?

Seeing a scar from under the surface of your skin really emphasised to me the importance of completing your exercises post surgery. Doing this can promote movement between your muscles and fascia to get the best outcome of your surgery.

It’s never too late to work on a scar!
This lady had a 30 year old scar. She came to me (Physio) with left shoulder pain and a feeling of being pulled downwards.
First picture is shoulder range before Scar Therapy and second is after one treatment of just manual techniques.
She has maintained her range; I’m still working with her - and she’s very happy with the results so far!
Contact our clinic to learn how Scar Therapy can help you!
As you can probably tell, I love learning and strive to understand the body as much as I can! Knowing the anatomy and physiology of the body is the start! So I have signed up to this Dissection Course on Scar Tissue! I will let you know what I learn!

These small facts help us as practitioners to see how the body is affected by injury and to adapt our treatments accordingly.
Certificate for Fascial Manipulation!
This final course taught me how the superficial fascia in the skin communicates within the body and how it can influence our body to work well or in a dysfunctional way! And the best news is there is loads we can do to improve this communication!
Some of the dysfunctions (after being given an all clear by your doctor) are lump in throat feeling, husky voice, sensitive areas on skin, indigestion, cold/hot hands and feet, itchiness, or increased sensitivity to allergies to name a few!
All with scientific evidence to back it up! So excited to treat and heal!
