Public Information Session
Hawse Lane and Heol Las (Green Lane) Bridge Reconstruction
Both Hawse Lane and Heol Las bridges require full reconstruction. During 17-19 September Network Rail will be working 24/7 in order to demolish both bridges. They expect this to be the noisiest element of their work and some noise disruption should be expected throughout the day and night to complete their work as quickly as possible.
This weekend the line between Cardiff and Newport will be closed. Replacement buses will be in operation. If you are planning on travelling by train this weekend, please check before you travel with your train operating company.

Thank you to everyone who came to support Castleton Village Hall and enjoy some festive fun at the Children's Christmas party. Thanks to Zoya Higgins for giving up her time to paint everyone's faces. Also thanks to everyone who helped today. The hall has raised £200 towards refurbishments. xx

The money has been added up and £300 was raised yesterday. Thanks to everyone for their support and donations. The raffle winners will be notified later of their prizes. The winner of the signed Cardiff City Football was Dean Higgins, thanks go to Jude Jones for organising this and sourcing donations from the local community.
Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Christmas fair today. Singing for Pleasure were truly wonderful, a very talented and generous group to give up their time for us. All of the stalls looked very festive, thank you for All of your raffle prizes and festive spirit. Also a huge thanks to those that gave their time for the whole day to help make this event a success, Jude and her fantastic mum and mum in law and Carol and Ian McIver and Joe Lyons for sweeping the floor!

Here are some of the raffle prizes we will have at the Christmas Fair on Saturday. This will be done in the style of a 'Pick your prize/ Chinese Auction. Buy a ticket or several, and put them in the pot for the prize you wish to win.
There is also a silent auction for a signed Cardiff City Football, donated by Laura DeCruz. Bids are being taken in advance if you are unable to attend on the day.
