IF WE ALL DO A BIT, WE WILL ACHIEVE A LOT!

Please wear old clothes, gardening gloves and boots and bring tools (we have a few).
Refreshments provided. Cancelled if heavy rain!!

SCOUT CAFE

We will be opening the Scout Cafe for the summer from next Tuesday. This is a major fundraising initiative for us, to replace the Scout post and bonfire, which haven't happened for the last 3 years. We are raising funds for the re-development of Lisvane Scout Hall.
Location - in the playground attached to Lisvane Scout Hall, Heol y Delyn, Lisvane CF14 0SR
Time and day - 3.30-4.30 Tuesday and Thursday, if the weather forecast isn't good when I check at the weekend I will cancel or re-arrange. This will be posted on the Scout Group page and the Lisvane Village Community page.
Reasonably priced hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes, including vegan and gluten free, crisps, ice pops. We also hope to run a Tombola stall if we get enough help.
We take cash or contactless payments.

CAN YOU HELP US IN ANY WAY?

Setting up the stall from 3pm, selling food and drink from 3.30 and clearing up afterwards.
Making cakes. These can be dropped at Lisvane Scout Hall during the day or at my house, 1 Chartwell Drive, CF14 0EZ (first house on left with open plan front garden).
Running the Tombola stall. This is a great activity that Scouts (especially those in year 6 at Llysfaen Primary School) or Explorer Scouts could get involved in.

Today, one hundred and fifteen years and millions of such camps later, countless of millions of lives of people, all across our world, have been changed by and because of Scouting.

Great day at the Lisvane Festival Fete! Thank you to everyone who helped out on the BBQ stall today. So good to be back in the community again.
We even had a spitfire fly past, organised by the air cadets.
Thanks to Morrisons for the free bread rolls.
Panthers day tomorrow at the playing field on Heol y Delyn ! Hot dogs 🌭, bacon butties 🥓🍞, drinks 🥫, sweets 🍬.

Fundraising Cake and Drink Stall outside Lisvane Scout Hall, Heol y Delyn, CF14 0SR, every Tuesday and Thursday (weather permitting) 3.30-4.45pm from Tuesday 26th April and Thursday 28th April for the summer term. Day may change if rain is forecast. Please see Lisvane Village page for up to date information.
We have a card reader available or you can pay online.
1. Make a cake for us.
2. Volunteer to help on the stall.
3. We offer cakes, ice pops, cans of pop, non-fizzy drinks, hot drinks, cakes and crisps. Please buy a treat and support us.
4. There will be chairs where you can sit and chat to your friends.
5. We are hoping to run the Tombola stall from the first week of May, if you have any small gifts that you could donate to the stall.

A huge thank you to all those people who supported the Drink and Homemade Cake stall to raise funds for the redevelopment of Lisvane Scout Hall. We made approx £200 from last week and the event in April.
We are running this stall again 3.30-5 on Tuesday and Thursday this week from the play area next to Lisvane Scout Hall, Heol y Delyn, CF14 0SR. We are able to take contactless payments. If you would like to help selling or making a cake get in touch here, or contact Hilary.

FUNDRAISING MEETING FOR LISVANE SCOUT HALL
The inaugural fundraising meeting for Lisvane Scout Hall is at 5pm on Sunday 9th May at the outside area of Lisvane Scout Hall, Heol y Delyn, CF14 0SR.
The Scout Group urgently needs Lisvane SH to be extended so that there is enough room for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and for Treetops Nursery. Currently Treetops use most of the storage and the floor space to comply with nursery rules. We will require at least £200K to build an extension towards the pavement and reconfigure the rooms. All our parents have received a detailed email about this, containing the risk assessment approved by Cardiff North District.
Bring your ideas, names of people we could approach, grants we could apply for.
Please ask your friends, relatives and neighbours if they wish to join the meeting or have any suggestions.
If you wish to sit down, please bring your own chair.

Hi to anyone who is interested in Scouting in north Cardiff. Scouting has continued in Llanishen and Lisvane Scout Group during the lockdown by a series of Zoom meetings, challenges badgework and communication via email, WhatsApp and social media. We have realised how enormously important this has been to our young people who are feeling disconnected and isolated at the moment. We have helped to give them a sense of purpose.
If you feel that you would like to get involved as a Leader or Section Assistant in the Beavers, Cubs or Scouts, please get in touch by leaving a message on this website. We would be thrilled to have you in our merry band of Leaders, either full time (every week) or part time, whatever your preference. a current DBS will be required which we can apply for online. All training and support will be given.

7-9 PM THU 26TH MARCH @ LIVSEY SCOUT HALL
This is your Scout Group. Join us to hear how we performed in 2019 and our plans for 2020.
Volunteer to be on the Group Executive or to fill one of the smaller roles available to help us run an efficient Scout Group and take some of the pressure off the Leaders.
We are excited to see full seats of parents at the AGM. Please come and support us. You don’t have to volunteer for anything if you come along but the Group Exec and Leaders would love to see you there.
The Agenda will be distributed nearer to the 26th March. Volunteers needed to make cakes and serve hot drinks at 7pm.

Huge thank you to everyone who bought stamps from Llanishen & Lisvane Scout Group for the Scout Christmas Post. The cards will be delivered this week. Part of the cost of each stamp sold helps us to raise vital funds for the Scout Group.

Last night was the final swap for 47 areas across cardiff and vale for scout post. Now the second phase starts the delivery we aim to have all cards delivered by 16th December.
