Just a reminder that we will be closed Thursday 25th July but also closing at 2 tomorrow to sort things out ready for Thursday.

Just an early post so that customers will know in plenty of time.
K2 will be closed Thursday 25th July and reopen Saturday 3rd August.
This is for some renovations front of house.
There will be people working in K2 but we will be closed for the duration.
Myself and Kim at the same time will be taking the opportunity for a holiday with the family (F1 Belgium/ Euro Disney) woohoo and some beers.
We will look forward to the reopening and also hope to see you all on our return.
I will update closer to the time in case of any changes but this is just to give friends and customers an early warning!

Finally have our new padded seating installed this morning. No more ripped seating .....for now ...kids!!

Christmas is around the corner ..all Christmas buffets and dinners are almost done.
What are we closed over the festive period.
K2 will be closed Saturday 23rd...closing at 2 pm .
We will reopen on Tuesday 2nd January after a full battery recharge and ready to carry on where we left off..... full of the joys of work and getting on with what is put in front of us.
Look forward to new adventures coming to the village and seeing where we are going for the next year.

Another day another Christmas Buffet!!

It’s always a pleasure when Kim comes to see us and here she is collecting her new varifocals from our Llandaff practice.​​​​​​​​

Kim is the owner of the lovely K2 coffee shop just over the road from our Llandaff practice and we think this Karen Millen frame from our designer range was an ideal choice and suits her perfectly.​​​​​​​​

Kim also chose to add a special anti reflection coating which will reduce reflections and give the most comfortable vision but also protect her eyes against UV rays.​​​​​​​​

After thoughtful consideration we have decided that staying open until 5 no longer seems feasible with costs and outlays. So as of immediate effect we will be closing at 4 Monday to Friday.
As for Saturday ....we serve breakfast up to 12.....lunch menu up to 2 ( kitchen closing at 2) and closing at 2.30.
We have to adapt to the times BUT as a business we're thriving and enjoying what we do.

As you hopefully know we've been closed most of this week, even though people have been walking in and phoning up asking if we were open whilst almost falling down the cellar.
Work has finished BUT as the wood has been treated with a strong and potent stain the smell is so strong that we have decided to remain closed tomorrow
12th and fully reopen on Monday 14th August.
We thought this might be the case at the begining.
Sorry for the late notice but a Bacon sandwich and coffee smelling of wood stain won't go down too well. Thank you for your understanding. I can remain in the pub tonight a little longer!!!

Mr M collected his lovely new varifocals from our Llandaff practice last week.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This semi rim frame with sports style bridge from our Fineline range was an excellent choice and suits him perfectly. Mr M also added light adaptive lenses and finished off with a lovely anti reflection coating, this is a very lovely pair of spectacles!

So the summer time is here...or is it looking at the weather??
Schools have closed people flying off on various vacations.
As a business we are taking advantage of the " quieter" time which it isn't really with many not going away.
We have essential building maintenance to sort out upstairs and down stairs so we have decided that this is the best time to do this.
K2 will be closed for a short duration from August Monday 7th to Friday 11th, just a bare week open again on the Saturday.
"You going on holiday" I hear you ask....nope...personal family issues to sort out also, other business issues to sort out and well we just haven't planned anything.
Sorry for the closure but it's essential.

It's been a pleasure serving students from the Marion Center for the last couple of years. We've got to know a lot of them and are sad to see them for the last time but also happy to see them moving on to their next chapter. Thanks guys and good luck!

I'm in need of kitchen help. Someone who wants to work with a great team covering all aspects of kitchen work. Training will be given. I will be taking interviews when cv's posted. Pay and work will be discussed.

Llandaff and surrounding areas have been affected by a burst water mains. Unfortunately we will have to remain closed until this is fixed as we are unable to wash and or use the toilet. (Hopefully)we have been told it will be back on by 11 fingers crossed. Sorry it's out of our hands as I can't wash them either!!

Forgot to mention.
With all the celebrations going on this weekend we along with other businesses in Llandaff have decided to close Saturday.. and Monday(bank holiday).

Had to shut early today as I under ordered because we're closed for 4....yes 4...days and started running out of stock as we were extremely busy. Sorry for the short notice but we also want to enjoy our time over Easter too. Thanks for your understanding.
