“IMPORTANT MESSAGE- Please, to all volunteers completing back patch studies, upper or lower back, terms of the studies request no sunbathing or exposure to tanning. The weather has been great but it is important to cover the study area at all times when outdoors. There are several reasons for this dependent on the patches/product being tested, please ask staff if you want more information. For those that have attended clinic with sunburn/suntans we will deduct a non-compliance payment of £20. This relates to volunteers who have not complied with the volunteer restrictions documented in the volunteer information sheet. “

"Just a little reminder to all our volunteer who are completing lower back patch studies. Please wear appropriate clothing when attending clinic. I understand some of you ladies don’t mind pulling up a dress but our male staff, and often female staff are very uncomfortable with this, which may result in staff moving around resulting in delays.
Also, just a reminder that skin markers are often applied to backs in order to help our placement of patches, this may result in staining of clothing, this should wash out but please be aware this could happen.
