We now have better locks and cctv with cloud storage via hidden dongle installed on our storage unit.

We are warning as this has put our non profit forest school in minus figures meaning our work now has to focus on recovering costs and not helping those in need, like those children not in school, and those trying to get EHCPs, Those strughling with child in need and social services etc.

Most of what we do, NO ONE gets paid for as voluntary. We WILL press charges no matter WHO or what the situation is for the next break in or attempted, as will help.most situations if we can but will not condone stealing or attempted burglary.

Ps appologies for my lack of spelling, grammar etc but fed up of being vandalised and stolen from. Our main school we work with cannot now start until January instead of September so children have already lost out. Normally we fund sessions out of our reserve. we now have none.

We are a non profit organisation that is already struggling to help the people we help via our services. We have had the.childrens wooden playhouse damaged, things set alight and now our shipping.container locks smashed off.

Csi has been called out and we are willing to go to court as this cannot continue. Hopefully the covert cctv will have the proof once we are allowed to gain entry again.

The tutor is the best we have ever used in 20 plus years. He has all the equipment and makes the group sessions fun.

Looking forward to the start of a new term Friday 1pm

We start back next week and are looking forward to greeting all our returning participants. We are also looking forward to meeting new ones.

We have finally got this year's insurance sorted out. It was an extremely difficult task and taken months due to all we can still offer.

We are also hoping to do some special events this year to help funds. Also concentrate on running school holiday activity clubs if enough interest.

Childrens birthday parties are also back on the list. Several options for every type of child, from arts and craft bassed to your hard core bush craft rough living type. Woodland survival, to woodland pampering we can do most things. (Indoors if required) but out doors has shelter.

Fancy a day or an hour of target practice with archery or rifle shooting? Min of 2 people taking part of almost any age?

Today's SEN rifle shooting as part of the school Olympics.

Just a reminder that BushKraft does children's birthday parties either on site or subject to risk assesment other venues including back gardens. Also archery and rifle lessons for small groups or as part of children's party.

We can do a backwards cooking session where you can cook almost anything over a fire from scratch including lighting the fire.. We will show you how to prepare and cook anything from roast dinner to curry or chow mein and pizza.

Family bonding/team building sessions, and extra support if you are under social services and child in need. (All confidential please do not be afraid to ask as we will help wherever possible) We are subject to securing our own funding from sources like own fund raising and donations from the public All our help and finance is purely self sufficient and not from council or government ans so is our help and support.

Our Parent and Child/Home Ed Sessions starts this Friday

It seems we are not able to provide certain foods anymore according to the HSE. Marshmallows are our main area of issue.

So as of us now knowing, BushKraft Forest School CIC will no longer provide the marshmallows for under 5s.

As some of you will still want them for your child, you will have to provide your own. This will now be added to our consent forms, and growing paperwork.

The FSA has issued new voluntary industry guidance on glycerol in slush-ice drinks, advising that they should not be sold to children four years of age and under.

We are nothing to do with medway council but thought this Information might be usful for all families.... what it usually means is if you stay in medway all free travel BUT you could go to bluewater free but will have to pay for the return journey to medway area then rest woukd be free again. Either way no parking, no fuel nothing to lose. Happy free travel people.

Do not forget we do children's birthday parties. Not only do children have fun, all profits go back into other community projects.

Children can chose their days activities in advance. Most popular with mist children is fire lighting and cooking their own pizza that was designed, made and cooked over their fire.

Food can almost be anything including roast dinner..... haha. Anything the kids want to cook, we can usually find a way.

We can do woodland arts and crafts.

Archery and even rifle shooting for most age groups and abilities.

We are happy to welcome. A group of sen children or a mixture of ages and abilities.

We can design an enjoyable and affordable package for everyone.

This is true forest school,with the addition of spark an interest via observations.

We are looking for a part time (Thursday and Friday possibly more) freelance / Self employed forest school assistant.
Formal forest qualifications are not required as all training will be provided. We will have to do a DBS check even if you already have one or under 18.

With our forest school, every skill is a useful skill, and everyone is good at something and can offer something to help others.

Does anyone have or know anyone with a child aged 18 to 21 and has NOT claimed their child trust fund? All parents that received child benefit had one. If on other benefits the amount was doubled. The average is worth nearly 2k. You can still.claim.even if you lost the paperwork.

It's now loosing money yearly at 1.5% management fee.

Today's SEN forest session ended up with a water fight.... poor Joe got soaked by 2 of the kids. In fact all leaders got wet, and one of the children also got soaked but she started the whole event....haha.

The kids are loving the new slide.

The new term starts 21st April 2023, looking forward to the children coming back and meeting new people.

Think it was muddy today, but kids lit their fires and cooked smaores.

Written by the TA / Teacher of today's class from Pheonix Academy. They did bug hunting, shelter building, smores, bear hunt, and other exploration and forest school activities.

Another great day at forest school, it is so nice to see the children flourish, grow, use team work, resilience and so many other skills. The teachers also enjoy it to even those that don’t like getting dirty. Thank you to all the team, Brian, Karen, Ricky and Joe.
