Interesting read

Both vitamin C and D are not variant specific because their primary mode of action is to support the body’s innate immune system which reacts in a variety of ways against viral attack, not just in a specific antibody reaction to a spike protein. Does a vitamin C, zinc and vitamin D protocol work against Omicron? We don’t know but if you do become infected please try this protocol – http://ow.ly/2j6C50H9zoB and let me know what happens.

Vaccines, in contrast, trigger the acquired or learned immune system. In the case of mRNA vaccines this is made even more specific by injecting in a specific spike protein. The concern re Omicron is that it has many attributes to suggest current vaccines will be considerably less effective.

Claims from Pfizer that their vaccine is ‘75% effective’ against Omicron have to be taken with a pinch of salt, partly because they are not yet published in a p*er-review journal, but mainly because trials run by the sellers of drugs nearly always big up the effectiveness. An example of this is their original claims of ‘95% effective’ against corona virus got downgraded when studies not run by Pfizer started to be published. A Swedish study showed 79% efficacy which waned to 42% after 6 months, thus almost halving in effectiveness.

If the same principles apply this suggests that Pfizer vaccine will be more like 62% effective against Omicron, waning to 33% effective after six months. This would mean that one in three people, if infected, would benefit. There is also a concern re increased adverse reactions with each successive vaccine. Read my blog http://ow.ly/QjzR50H9zoA for more information.

Also, if you are vaccine-hesitant, why are you? On Wednesday I’m interviewing a doctor whose mission is to convert vaccine-hesitant to become vaccinated so I need to represent your concerns so please add in Comments below by 9am on Wednesday.

Truth. Drinking soda pop every day shortens the telomeres on your chromosomes, prematurely aging you, similarly to smoking cigarettes.

Drinking diet soda pop is associated with a higher risk of obesity and diabetes. Enjoy one as a rare treat, but drinking these poison drinks each day will show in your skin, weight, and overall health.

Gluten consumption has been linked to numerous autoimmune diseases and was a hot topic during the Women’s Gluten-free Health Summit. Sarah Ballantyne PhD, also known as The Paleo Mom, shared some vital information with us concerning gluten sensitivity and autoimmunity. “Every single autoimmune disease in which gluten as a contributor has been investigated has shown that gluten sensitivity is a contributor to that disease.” Scary right? But luckily, making the connection is the first step towards better health.

It’s even possible to know if autoimmune issues are brewing years before they bubble up to the surface and you end up with a diagnosis. This gives you time to make nutritional and lifestyle adjustments that can impact whether you eventually develop a full-blown autoimmune disorder.

Just to be clear…here’s a list of some autoimmune diseases known to be related to gluten sensitivity — Celiac Disease, Hashimoto Thyroiditis, Graves Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Vitiligo, Sjogren’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis, Dermatitis Herpetiformis, and Type 1 Diabetes.

These stuffed peppers are an accompaniment to tonight’s swordfish
Finely chopped chilli, red onion, garlic, unrefined salt or organic soya sauce & whatever herbs you fancy gently- I used oregano- gently sautéed in organic extra virgin olive oil then add partially/ almost cooked buckwheat and a tad of the water it cooked in, add a splash of organic apple cider vinegar give & a good stir and add to your peppers…
Drizzle with olive oil - good quality oil is rich in omega 3 & is good for you- don’t feel guilty- use as much as you like!
Pop in oven for as long as it takes ( do more than you need - great quick lunch in the week)
Top tip, arrange peppers in a Yorkshire/muffin tray so they don’t fall over whilst in oven 👌

Revised-with more info- available as word document - pls ask for a copy.

I thought it would be useful to put a list of foods together for my clients suffering with inflammation- whether it be arthritis, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, fibromyalgia or indeed ANY autoimmune condition- these conditions ALWAYS stem from the gut and can often be overcome or at very least improved, allowing pain relief, steroids or other anti-inflammatory meds to be lowered or even cut out altogether! (Obviously under your Doctors guidance) Why mask your symptoms, potentially making your condition worsen when you can get to the root cause? I am absolutely passionate about the power of healing through good nutrition- you can change your life very quickly by making changes to what you put into your body and guess what- your doctor probably won’t even mention it!
REFINED SUGAR! Anything on the label that says Fructose, Sucrose - basically anything ending in ‘ose’!
ARTIFICIAL SWEETNERS; especially Aspartame & Saccharine. Erythritol, honey, coconut sugar, maple syrup, organic rice syrup all make great alternatives.
TRANS FATS; Anything processed; fast foods, frozen meals, crisps or ANY processed snacks, treats such as cake, biscuits, crackers, margarine, spreads – look for ‘hydrogenated oils’ on the label.
DO EAT EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL, AVOCADO OIL! – Really good for joints & skin! Organic Coconut oil is another healthy fat BUT DON’T EVER apply it to your skin- it is comedogenic & will clog pores ultimately causing skin inflammation & breakouts.
SATURATED FATS: Cheese, pizza, red meats, full fat dairy,
NIGHTSHADES: Tomatoes, peppers, aubergine, potatoes
REFINED CARBOHYDRATES: Anything made with white flour such as bread & crackers, again potatoes and some cereals. Aim for wholegrain such as Oats, Bulgur wheat, Buckwheat, Quinoa, brown rice.
Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) only need to worry about this if you’re eating a Chinese take away!
GLUTEN: anything made with wheat, barley, rye –obviously bread is the biggest culprit- it comes up time and time again!
ALCOHOL! Sorry it’s just THE worst for inflammation in the body & skin.
EXCESSIVE amounts of OMEGA 6- basically Soy/peanut/vegetable/sunflower oil, mayonnaise, salad dressings. If you’ve got acne – definitely cut out Soy and all dairy!
DO EAT MORE OMGA 3’S! –oily fish like salmon, tuna, seeds & nuts particularly almonds.
DO EAT more berries- especially dark red / purple/black ones, leafy greens for Vit C especially Kale!
DO EAT more legumes/ beans – and I don’t mean baked beans! Kidney beans, black beans, borlotti, butter, chickpeas- great sources of fibre (especially if you’re on loads of medication that causes constipation- you NEED this!!) and anti-inflammatory.
DO EAT Organic, free range, grass fed animals, eggs & fruit/ veg. If using cheap meat you may well be feeding the inflammation with toxins/antibiotics so avoid cheap supermarket cuts & processed meats. Yes, it’s pricey, but what price do you put on your health?
DO EAT BONE BROTH! Delicious, filling, nutritious, but again- only if animal’s origins are known to be organic/ grass fed. Simmer your carcass or bones and use the remaining gelatinous *collagen & stock to make comforting & anti-inflammatory stews & soups. Be sure to use lentils & pearl barley (but only a small amount as remember this can be inflammatory) to thicken and loads of organic veg.
*COLLAGEN- found throughout our body- bones, joints, discs, gut lining, gums & skin; loads of different types-depletes as we get older, hence achy, inflamed joints, gum disease, lines & wrinkles. (My Collagen supplements are AMAZING- ask for details.)
DO EAT MAGNESIUM rich foods or take supplements- OMG- too many reasons to list here –it’s a serious contender for the most vital nutrient in my humble opinion; we’re ALL lacking it and it’s key in reducing inflammation-found in oily fish & dark chocolate (make sure it’s organic), spinach, Swiss chard, quinoa, almonds, cashews, avocado, black beans, kiwi (& BTW I stock it in the salon.)
Drink loads of turmeric tea, ginger tea, lemongrass tea, liquorice tea, chamomile tea.
Drink water and if you’re put off because you keep running to the bathroom add in a little cocktail to your daily routine of ¼ tsp of Celtic or any other *UNREFINED* salt (NOT TABLE SALT- this is NOT good for you!)+ 4oz fresh orange juice +1/4 tsp Cream of Tartar- this provides the necessary minerals required for the body to absorb the water into the cells (rather than you immediately p*e it straight out) and the cells subsequent ability to use the ATP produced by your mitochondria for energy & to perform all its cellular functions- particularly its ability to self-heal!
VITAMIN/ANTI OXIDANT SOURCES- especially for those of you on aesthetic facial programmes which work on the principle of wound healing; it’s vital you follow a healthy diet to optimise on results.
VIT A – eggs, oily fish (cod liver oil) Liver (not more than 2x week but if you’re a menopausal woman or older man no more than 1.5gms.
Beta-Carotene (a form of Vit A) brightly coloured fruit & veg.
VIT C—Citrus, strawberries, blackcurrants, broccoli, Brussel’s – essential for collagen synthesis & hydroxylation of lysine & proline- essential amino acids.
VIT D--oily fish, red meat (not too much- remember it’s inflammatory) eggs. Also great source of L-Arginine.
VIT K—green leafy veg, prunes, Kiwi, Avocado, blackberries, pomegranate, figs- SOOOOO important for healthy bones, wound healing, collagen regeneration & the strengthening of blood vessels.
IRON—Shellfish/ fish. Spinach, liver/red meat, legumes, pumpkin seeds, Quinoa, Turkey, broccoli, Tofu, dark chocolate: haemoglobin formation & fights both bacterial & fungal infections.
ZINC—Animal proteins, beans, chickpeas, nuts, cereals – ABSOLUTELY VITAL in the healing process!
CALCIUM—yes dairy is known for calcium but as discussed it is also inflammatory so try Almond milk instead (no added sugar obviously) Dark green leafy veg, legumes & fish with bones / seafood.
I guarantee you’ll be in less pain, your skin will improve, you’ll be free of bloating, will lose weight, improved immunity, sleep & digestive health will improve inc acid reflux & bowel movements + you’ll avoid long term meds!
Why not try my 21 day Purify programme to reset your gut and kickstart your nutrition with support & guidance- ask for more details!

Copy & pasted…GOD, THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! TAKE THE TIME TO READ IT ❤️
As someone who writes often, I naturally appreciate epic writing when I see it. This morning, I came across this written piece of art and it moved me deeply, so I had to share it with all of you! Not only are these words true theatre, they also act as sound advice ❤️

my brain and
heart divorced

a decade ago

over who was
to blame about
how big of a mess
I have become

eventually,
they couldn't be
in the same room
with each other

now my head and heart
share custody of me

I stay with my brain
during the week

and my heart
gets me on weekends

they never speak to one another

- instead, they give me
the same note to pass
to each other every week

and their notes they
send to one another always
says the same thing:

"This is all your fault"

on Sundays
my heart complains
about how my
head has let me down
in the past

and on Wednesday
my head lists all
of the times my
heart has screwed
things up for me
in the future

they blame each
other for the
state of my life

there's been a lot
of yelling - and crying

so,

lately, I've been
spending a lot of
time with my gut

who serves as my
unofficial therapist

most nights, I sneak out of the
window in my ribcage

and slide down my spine
and collapse on my
gut's plush leather chair
that's always open for me

~ and I just sit sit sit sit
until the sun comes up

last evening,
my gut asked me
if I was having a hard
time being caught
between my heart
and my head

I nodded

I said I didn't know
if I could live with
either of them anymore

"my heart is always sad about
something that happened yesterday
while my head is always worried
about something that may happen tomorrow,"
I lamented

my gut squeezed my hand

"I just can't live with
my mistakes of the past
or my anxiety about the future,"
I sighed

my gut smiled and said:

"in that case,
you should
go stay with your
lungs for a while,"

I was confused
- the look on my face gave it away

"if you are exhausted about
your heart's obsession with
the fixed past and your mind's focus
on the uncertain future

your lungs are the perfect place for you

there is no yesterday in your lungs
there is no tomorrow there either

there is only now
there is only inhale
there is only exhale
there is only this moment

there is only breath

and in that breath
you can rest while your
heart and head work
their relationship out."

this morning,
while my brain
was busy reading
tea leaves

and while my
heart was staring
at old photographs

I packed a little
bag and walked
to the door of
my lungs

before I could even knock
she opened the door
with a smile and as
a gust of air embraced me
she said

"what took you so long?"

Clues to healthy aging found in the gut bacteria of centenarians 03/08/2021

Clues to healthy aging found in the gut bacteria of centenarians The relationship between lifespan and the bacteria living inside our gut is perhaps one of the stranger corners of scientific research right now. A new study published in the journal Nature, investigating the microbiomes of centenarians, offers clues to how gut bacteria may engender healthy aging.

Huge congratulations to Tracy Dodds who just completed her 21 day gut reset programme! I have full permission to talk about her results…

Tracy is epileptic & on a vast amount of medication which caused severe constipation; sometimes going over 2 weeks before a bowel movement . She was in a lot of pain, was terribly bloated and uncomfortable and had recently had 3 hemorroids removed; straining, manual evacuation and blood was normal! Can you imagine how absolutely horrendous that must be??🤦‍♀️
Well I’m pleased to say that EVERYTHING Tracy wanted to achieve on the plan has come to fruition…

Energy levels are now BRILLIANT- no afternoon naps at all & wakes up earlier!

Quality of sleep has literally gone from 1 to 7 and she’s managed to almost cut out her amitriptylene that was prescribed for sleep- this can only continue to improve!!🛌😴

Stress levels were really high but Tracy is so much happier now!😀

Tracy suffered with migraines - (usually a precursor to a seizure) which caused neck pain- During the last three weeks Tracy only had 3 seizures- literally half the amount she usually has , so waaaay less pain! Again, I truly believe the frequency of seizures will improve- remember it’s only been 3 weeks!

Acid reflux was an everyday occurrence- it VANISHED on day 1!! 👌❤️

Bowel function has gone from a 1 to a 9!! No straining, no blood, soft, clean & regular!!!🥳

Tracy didn’t have any particular skin issues BUT her dark eye circles have disappeared!!!👁 The eyes are the sister organ to the kidneys so improving elimination will always help!

No bloating whatsoever and a weight loss of 7lbs and 4” lost from waist! 🥳

I am so thrilled for Tracy ! If you’d like to hear more about the 21 day Purify programme & how it can change your life call or text 07899755998
