An exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy maintenance department for a Service/Maintenance Engineer to work with our customers across Essex servicing and maintaining their Intruder and Fire Alarm Systems.

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to communicate successfully with people at all levels. As a problem solver, you will be expected to service; fault finds and carries out small repairs on a range of different systems - both large commercial fire and Intruder alarm systems and domestic intruder alarms. This will be a challenging opportunity for a skilled engineer who has a professional and reliable outlook and can-do attitude and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will be rewarded with a branded Company Van, Laptop and Mobile Phone. Salary will be dependant on your previous experience and we would like to see engineers with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.

This is a fantastic opportunity, full-time hours Monday to Friday 8 am until 5 pm with the opportunity to earn overtime. Your Van and Fuel Card will be supplied on your start date.

You will need:

* Full CLEAN UK Full Driving License

* Previous experience (minimum 2 years)

CommunicateUK is looking for an enthusiastic, Audio-visual Technician with at least 3 years of experience with specialisation in AV integration and maintenance.

You will represent our company and deliver high-quality AV/IT projects by being able to set up, configure and troubleshoot multiple Audio-Visual systems and products. You will work closely with other service areas i.e., electronics, security and CCTV to ensure the company processes are in place.



Required skills:

Possess a good underpinning technical knowledge of Electronics and Audio-Visual Systems, such as Lutron, Elan and Araknis.
Be able to set up, commission, diagnose the faults and troubleshoot a variety of AV equipment & IT hardware and software.
Good knowledge of video conferencing, audio, video, presentation, control solutions integration and IT
Be able to work from schematics, terminating sheets, site plans, and drawings
Be organised, flexible, and able to approach different types of tasks during the working day
Have the ability to liaise with the client or main contractor and to work with the rest of the team to deliver high-quality projects
Have a flexible approach to project changes on site
Be able to think laterally and suggest engineering solutions on-site
Be able to audit the installation from the beginning to completion
Be willing to work in London, the home counties and occasionally on customer sites in other parts of the UK and Europe
Be willing to attend training courses in new equipment and solutions
Knowledge of terminating audio, video, CAT5/6 cabling


Key responsibilities:

Maintain high levels of Customer Service throughout the project i.e., from onsite attendance to complete installation as well as during remote technical support
Works installations, integration including handover to Client
Field service engineering work as required
Ensure fault resolution is to Client satisfaction
Traveling to Client sites (including European travel if required)
Site and event coordination and support
Preventative Maintenance calls as required
Rotation of client sites as required
Site surveys
