Such a great day Saturday at the Southchurch Art Trail 🧡 🖌

The event was so much bigger again this year, and the standard of work displayed was insane 👏🏼🎨

( you're really appreciated for organising all this to get local artists seen and recognised, and for all the support it brings to local businesses. Even got the mayor down 🙂 Thank you so much 🧡

/ The Exchange, Southend-on-Sea - Thank you for allowing me to display in such a great venue. I think everyone will be fighting for that spot next year 😉)

My work is still being displayed at the until the 28th, along with the amazingly talented - as is the rest of the trail... so you still have time to get yourself down there. Grab a drink from the pub or a coffee from one of the cafes and have a stroll up and down looking at the amazing local art exhibited and seeing what amazing shops & establishments are down there now 🫶🏻

For the second year running, I'm proud to say I've been selected as a confirmed artist for the Southchurch Art Trail, and I am busy trialling some new pieces to create for it 🎨😀

I'm also very excited to have been
paired with The Exchange Pub as my venue to display in. My art will be in their windows facing the street for up to two weeks 😊

The trail will run from Monday 18th September until Friday 29th September all the way along Southchurch Rd, with a public art stroll on Saturday 23rd September. This will be a day of activities and fun such as live entertainment, workshops, and opportunities for the public to be involved. Some artists will also be doing live demonstrations at the trail hub (The Plaza).

All art displayed is for sale.

CREATIVE WELLNESS WORKSHOPS 🎨🧘🏻‍♀️

I always said that one day I wanted to merge my passions of spirituality, art, and helping people all together to create a service that did just that - help people. Art therapy practises are so underrated and beneficial that it made perfect sense to start there, which i why I enrolled into an Art Therapy course alongside other various but relevant extra learning.

So i am hugely excited to be at a place where i have my first client booked in this week for one of my (trial) Creative Wellness Workshops 😊🎨✨️ Where I will coach them through an hour and a half of mindful, calming and creative practises enabling them a chance to de-stress and express themselves in a safe space.

*Suitable for adults and children alike (activities will be adapted for children) and for individual and group sessions. *

After greeting and settling in, we'll do a short guided meditation to calm the nervous system and then move onto some sensory and therapeutic based creating. For my first 'term' of workshops, clients will be creating their own textured quote pieces, like the ones pictured. (Swipe for a closer/clearer look). All of which will be created exactly as the client feels, with their own choice of quote, tools, colours, fonts.. whatever their mood sees fit. I will encourage getting messy and using fingers and hands as tools too, if the client is comfortable to do so.
The goal is to have the client leaving more relaxed than when they arrived, anxiety reduced, their focus clearer, and hopefully having learned something about themselves from what they've put down creatively. They will also get to take home their own original piece of art 🎨

My family is approaching the year anniversary of a very close family member we lost. They received end of life care at our local Havens (Fair Havens) and I can't express enough in words how fantastic the facility and all of the staff are there.
The people at Havens Hospice work around the clock, and all throughout the festive period, as in their own words 'Incurable illnesses don't take a break in December'. Whilst some of us are enjoying the build up and celebrating Christmas as normal, some people are about to face a Christmas totally different and more difficult to any they've experienced before.
Donations help the hospices to support patients and families, and enable them to still provide top quality care whilst creating special, positive memories to cherish over this festive period. Havens Hospice are for young, old and in-between. Any donation will be making a direct difference.

So if you can support my small business, you'll also be supporting Havens, and your friends, family or colleagues can enjoy an original, hand painted card for Christmas. ❤️

Of course proof of donation will be shown after new orders have ceased.

It's a lovely modern, light and airy salon down Southchurch Road 😊

Some very exciting news came through a few days ago, and I'm so chuffed to have been selected as a confirmed artist at the Southchurch Art Trail this September 😆🎨

A few selected pieces, (possible shortlist on the next image, although I'm still going through some work. Zebra dependant on completion) will be displayed and also available to buy down Southchurch Road from 22nd - 27th September.
