Our very good friends used our Rustic Oak van to collect some amazing bits ready to launch a fabulous new events business! Did you enjoy pancakes day yesterday??

We did!!

Thick American pancakes, fruit & maple syrup for breakfast 😋

Then thin big ones for tea with either lemon & sugar (classic!) or Nutella & banana (my fav!) 😋

And the kids had some at school during the day too!!

I love books, reading them, looking at them and they should be displayed in style rather than be hidden away!

We are currently having building work done at our house and are planning a lovely big bookcase at the top of the stairs and I can't wait!

Formal dining is back....??

Well, according to an article in the Telegraph UK News Interiors section last Saturday it is! https://www.telegraph.co.uk/interiors/home/formal-dining-room-back-in-fashion-interiors/

We have a simple kitchen/diner in our house and the kids have a separate playroom instead of us having a separate dining room we only use a handful of times a year.

Why choose a bespoke service?

Today Nick delivered a small metal x-base dining table and matching benches. It works perfectly in their kitchen and the colour of the metal legs matches some other units that are in the kitchen rather than being black as they tend to be.

This truly is a great example of why we do what we do. Ensuring the customer gets the style, size and finish that suits them the best, and not ‘making do’ with something they’ve found off the shelf.

I’m just taking the dog for a walk before heading over to my mums to watch the big day with family! Wearing my red top, blue jeans and will soon swap my welly boots for white trainers in my attempts to be patriotic today!

Our metal based tables are a collaboration between ourselves and other local talented business. The table legs for this table were made by specialists at Wicks Construction & Engineering.

A different style for us, and finished as always to the customers choice. Truly bespoke service.

We also undertake commercial work, working with other local craftsmen. On this job we worked along side Rustic Oak of Danbury to produce bespoke legs in brushed stainless steel for their absolutely stunning dining table. We carry out all scopes of fabrication, machining, milling, welding and braising.

I have just come across this photo of our 3 children in early 2019 out in the workshop 'testing' out a bookcase before it went to it's forever home (and actually be used for books 😆📚).

Sorry to mention the 'C' word for the first time, but we are not far off being fully booked for guaranteed pre Christmas deliveries. So this is a warning not to leave it too late to order! We are a small business that makes everything to order by hand, which makes us unique in the furniture world, and is why people love us! BUT, it does mean we can't turn things around super quickly and don't hold things in stock, so you need to be organised if you have a particular date you need something by!

Our thoughts go out to all of her family. Queen Elizabeth will always be remembered as a complete legend and the very best of role models for us all.

How is it delivered?

All our dining tables are not only each handmade by Nick, they are also delivered by him! This ensures that he can oversee the delivery and setup of each table to ensure the customer is completely satisfied.

The table top and base will arrive as separate items and be put together on site.

Loving it!!

Excuse the old patio and random mix of chairs in the background, but we are loving our new Waney Edged Garden Table!

It looks great, is a brilliant size, and the outside protective oil seems to just repel the water! I’m not sure if the 2nd photo shows it well enough, but you can simply just wipe the water off!
