Commercial project

We were recently tasked to take a storage area on a mezzanine floor and turn it into a workable space so that the company could expand. So we insulated the ceiling before battening and installing plasterboard, taped and joined the boards, and brought it to life with a lick of paint and new flooring, before going downstairs and revamping the rest of the groomers including the reception.

At the weekend just gone, I had the privilege to support and in volunteering my time to help with the renovation of a bungalow in Harlow, Essex as part of DIY SOS The Big Build, it was such an honour to be part of something special for a community project which will help other people going forward. It was manic at times with so many people on-site, all with their own tasks to complete, however, there was also plenty of great banter, it was good to see others volunteering their time too.

Here is a before and after of a large garden which needed alot of TLC we gave it a new lease of life. On the digger we scrapped back to top section to ensure level ground was achieved, we then dug footing for the retaining wall, before bringing up the levels. We then paved the area with porcelain slabs before adding finishing touches using the batton to hide the oil tank and give the wall a different feature instead of rendering. We also installed artificial grass for the customer ensuring low maintenance.

We took a small courtyard and transformed it into 90+ sqm of patio including sheltered pergola. Myself and Jack were tasked to help a local pub comply with covid restrictions in order to trade to their maximum potential, and what a difference we made, not just during restrictions but to the future trade of the pub, creating an ambient yet stylish environment to all to share.
