For girls between 9-13 who are wanting Spa Parties we offer our salon www.beautique12.net where we can host fabulous Hair, Spa and Make-over parties.
For younger children we host Princess, Fairy, Make-over Mania Parties at our Kids Centre Sweet Pea.
Both venues are in Cheltenham

Great feedback on Princess Party at our party venue yesterday

Just a note to say that the party was absolutely excellent yesterday, thank you so much for making my life easier. Everyone said it was the best party they had ever been to and I happen to agree.

Since taking over G&G I have made it a mission to learn more about Princesses and Fairies and what they represent to our children.
Being a mother of two daughters I am conscious that the first thing they see when they look at Princesses is that they are beautiful and I worry this becomes the focus at an early age rather than the other qualities that princesses possess such as empathy, kindness, patience, courage, creativity, family values and acceptance.

Some of our princess /fairy parties include make overs which are age appropriate but I fear we may be sending out the wrong message.

Of course young girls like to experiment with make-up, dressing up and aspiring to look like the images of princesses that are portrayed but I am also aware of the young girls I often see who won't dress up or don't want make-overs because they say they don't look beautiful - this makes me very sad and not something I want to be promoting.

My other business is Relax Kids which is about building self esteem in children and there are many games and activities which can be used to do this so I am going to be looking at offering some different kinds of Princess Parties which will focus more on being kind to one another, accepting differences in others, patience, being creative and developing emotional intelligence. Children will learn these skills in fun ways through games, movement, music and art and will be presented with a certificate at the end of the party.

It's not just Princesses here, we have Fairies too and we are busy creating a Fairy Garden so that all our party fairies can sprinkle some fairy dust and make a wish
