“There was a isolated incident at our Birtley Store on Monday night
which resulted in some of our colleagues being assaulted - thankfully
they are all recovering well. The police were called to the store immediately
and we are continuing to support them with their enquiries.”

☕Coffee Morning ☕

We will be holding a coffee morning in our cafe on Tuesday 28th November at 11am . Our new store manager will be there to meet members of the community and discuss any ideas and talk about what morrisons can do to help our community.

During August all Morrisons Stores are taking part in a Butterfly Trail, to raise funds for our charity partnership Together for Short Lives, the aim is to raise £250,000 within the month.

The Together for Short Lives butterfly will be in our store on Thursday 24th August and will continue it's journey at around 3pm that day to Jarrow.

We will be fundraising during this period, starting with a visit from SPIDERMAN🕸️🕸️ tomorrow between 10-12 so come along and say hello

We will also have a tombola on Saturday 19th with lots of prizes up for grabs and our popular Wine or Water bags

Please come along and support this amazing charity all money raised by our store goes directly to St Oswald's Hospice

As you are aware Morrisons Birtley has fallen foul of the recent storms which have taken down most of our fridge and freezers, this is only temporary and we are awaiting parts, engineers are on site and we hope to have everything back up and running before the end of the week. The products you come in to buy may have been temporarily relocated, so please ask if you are looking for something specific. We appreciate your patience while we wait for a resolution 🙂

Huge Thank you to Kevin Finnigan Entertainer and Liz (Morrisons community champion) for today! kev took time out of his busy schedule to keep us all entertained with his fab singing. Liz, as always, gave us her continued support by arranging the food drive and food packs for us. Can't thank you both enough! Also a massive Thank you to the customers who donated cash and food items to help keep our emergency food cupboards stocked. Not just today but everyday. We've seen an increase in those needing help with food. To still receive donations when most people are feeling the pinch of the cost of living crisis, well it just blows us away! What a great community we have. If you are struggling and in need of a food parcel, please call into the Hub to see us. Any help given is all confidential. Thank you all again! ❤️

This Summer, we’re working with to help families through the school holidays by providing a free brekkie. Simply ‘Ask for Ellen’ in our cafes for a free portion of Warburtons crumpets, butter & jam.

Come and meet the colleagues and volunteers from The Birtley Hub on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with entertainment on Tuesday from the fabulous Kevin Finnigan 🎶🎶
They are raising awareness of food poverty in our community and the help that they can offer. Any donations are most appreciated, if you buy one of our ready made 'Pick Up Packs' 100 More point will be given from 17th July - 6th August
