🌟 BIRMINGHAM ROYAL BALLET🌟

Back in 2015, a conversation with one of our dance parents led to a pivotal moment for her son, Oisín. While waiting for his sister Èile to make her way out of class, I noticed the spark in his eyes when we talked about dance. After a bit of encouragement, he decided to give our summer school a try. One day turned into three, and I was thrilled when he enrolled for September 2015!

Fast forward to now: In August, Oisín received a fixed-term contract with the Birmingham Royal Ballet for Fille ma Gardée at the Birmingham Hippodrome! 🎉

Watching him perform a couple of weeks ago was a highlight for everyone involved in his journey. Oisín’s progress since that first step into dance is truly inspiring.

He’s a perfect example of how it’s never too late to start your dance journey. Don’t let fear hold you back from discovering your passion! Keep smashing it, Oisín! ⭐️

Today marks a new chapter for Sophie Gallie Dance Academy as we begin our journey at The Hammond studios! 🎉💃

As we embrace this exciting transition, we'd like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to The Firs School, our home since returning to classes post-Covid-19. Their support was invaluable during a time when village halls were unable to host activities. Without The Firs School, Chester, we wouldn't have had a place to reunite and continue our passion for teaching children to dance.

During our time at The Firs, our academy flourished, welcoming many new students. We're incredibly thankful for the loyalty of our dancers and their families throughout the challenging Covid period.

We'll cherish the fond memories created at The Firs, especially the iconic clock on the wall that witnessed countless temperature checks, social distancing, fun, pirouettes and plies! 🕰️ While we won't miss the daily set-up and pack-up routine, we must give a special shout-out to Miss Warburton for her tireless efforts in preparing the studio each day. 👏

As we step into our new home at The Hammond, we're filled with excitement for the future. However, we'll always remember the pivotal role The Firs played in our journey. Here's to new beginnings and the continuation of our dance family's legacy! 🌟
