Fourteen years ago, ‘STRUT,’ originally known as Burlesque, was born. Our vision has always been to create a safe space where adults cannot only dance but also form friendships and create lasting memories while building their confidence.

PROUD MOMENT...

Ten years ago, one of our goals was to break the stigma and to encourage more boys to participate in dance within education!

Well, the SAS (Saughall All Saints Primary School) dance squad is living proof that boys are not only excelling but also thoroughly enjoying themselves!

We couldn’t be prouder of everyone at , but this post is a huge shout-out to all the boys out there who are smashing stereotypes and embracing their love for dance 🩵💙

This is Ella & we are so excited to announce she is the newest addition to the HOD Crew & will be with us full time wohoooooo ✨

We thought you might like to know a little more about the lovely Ella so we asked her some fun questions;

✨ What’s your favourite style of dance?
It’s hot to be Commercial

✨How old were you when you started dancing?
I began singing and dancing at The Delta Academy along with competitions! I then moved onto HOD in 2013 where I stayed until I gained a scholarship in The Hammond where I trained and graduated in 2023!

✨ How about your hobbies?
I love travelling but I also love cooking and trying new recipes that I’ve found on tik tok hehe!

✨My favourite thing about HOD is?
that it’s like a big family, everyone is always there for each other and from the minute I started there when I was 10 I found my second home.

I love that even though I went away and trained it’s like i’ve never left!

✨Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have got 1 dog called Charlie he’s the cutest little cockatoo ever!

We’ll be taking 30 of our older students to London for the weekend to experience on the most incredible dance convention along with a West End show!

It’s a perfect way to see their favourite collages perform & get to chat to existing students along with taking part in industry professional classes 🔥

The BIGGEST thank you to everyone who donated to our Moroccan Fundraiser!

Yesterday was the most incredible day & everyone loved their treats.

We managed to buy them all 145 villagers; new shoes, lots of good quality socks & insulated floor mats for their homes (tents).

The children got some extra treats with me money left over & wow did they love them. The super soakers went down a treat along with the skipping ropes 🇲🇦

We’ll drop lots of videos & photos so you can see that every penny made the BIGGEST difference ❤️❤️

Last memories are the most important thing & we sure made lots of them yesterday! ❤️

✨ A DECADE OF DREAMS ✨

Jules and Chloe’s journey to creating HOD was a unique story. While people often assumed they were friends from primary school their meeting was serendipitous.

A decade ago, fate intervened when Chloe covered Jules’ Zumba class, marking the beginning of their friendship ❤️

Jules, with a burning idea picked up the phone to Chloe, Jules asked ‘quit your job, fancy a crazy adventure’?

Both of them had previously pursued professional careers in the arts, which had shown them the how truly damaging the industry can be & knew there needed to be a change. This experience ignited their shared passion for ensuring no child should ever not feel good enough!

Their ideas and values seamlessly aligned, culminating in a plan to create a fully inclusive, nurturing haven for the arts, where their dream became a vibrant reality & HOD was born!

Their commitment to their initial vision has remained steadfast throughout their journey. Their unwavering goal is to provide every child, regardless of their background, with access to the world of the arts. This dedication to inclusivity and equal opportunities has been at the heart of their business from day one.

Fast forward a decade, and here we are, witnessing the incredible journey of countless talented youngsters who are finding joy and fulfillment on stage, making their dreams a reality. It’s a testament to the unwavering dedication of everyone involved ❤️❤️

Blown away with the talent on that stage & we are so PROUD of every single one of you youngsters!
