Bacon baps for breakfast and Durban Chicken Bunny Chow for lunch - great way to start the day!!

Another fabulous wedding yesterday. Sharing platter of flat iron steak ciabattas, chicken breast with mango chutney & BBQ’d pineapple and courgette & halloumi skewers in a minty, zesty marinade.
The evening food was the infamous South African bunny chow - Cape Malay potato & chick pea curry and Durban chicken curry 😋

So last night was a slightly different affair for us. We catered for a private dinner party celebrating a 70th birthday. It was a lot of fun and incorporated a mix of pan work and BBQ cooking.
The menu as follows:
Sous Vide Pork Belly with Roasted Red Onions & Port Jus;
BBQ’d Flat Iron Steak on Celeriac Mash with Buttered Baby Carrots, Stem Broccoli & Red Onion Jus;
White Chocolate Cheesecake with Raspberry Coulis.

When the young people at a wedding take the brides phone to capture pictures of the day and you put your best pose on, only to find out it was a 0.5 “selfie” 😳😂😂😂

Busy watching .seddon on on Channel 4. Very cool indeed and what a fantastic, but challenging opportunity - it’s definitely a brave thing to do 😅 I look forward to watching the series - defo tune in if you can.

Bunny chow for trade day customers. Which would be your choice?

It was a very early start yesterday to be ready to serve to hungry tradesmen starting off their day. It was a beautiful and crisp winter morning.

We’ve had a busy week. Back at one of our lovely corporate customers serving baps on Thursday. Yesterday we were back at the amazing for their open day. It was very busy and so lovely to meet folks who have booked or are thinking of booking the venue. We can confidently say you would be in good hands celebrating your wedding day at They have a very strong team of suppliers who know the venue and we all work as part of a great team to ensure you would have the best day ever!

Christmas in 🇿🇦 is very different but the meaning is still the same. Wishing you all a peaceful day filled with much love and happiness. Aside from the gammon we slow roasted a 3kg leg of lamb on the using charcoal and it was yummy!🤤😁

Last event of the year for us at the lovely with the before we shut down for Christmas and new year and head back to the Motherland for some African sun. Wedding breakfast BBQ followed by some evening - yum! 🤤
