Production Assistant, 12 hours per week initially (part-time) £11.50ph, Huntington based (Chester)

We are seeking a creative, motivated, and reliable individual to join our team.

As a production assistant, you will be at the heart of the customer fulfillment process, ensuring customers receive the best and most efficient service.

Role:
* Organising and picking stock
* Preparing and organising design work
* Operating heat presses to print clothing
* Folding clothes /packing orders
* Addressing customer queries
* Operating cutting machines
* Completing Social Media tasks

Personal qualities:
* Excellent team working skills

* Can work under pressure
* A great eye for detail
* Completes work to a high standard

Full training will be provided.

It’s been a rough old year!

Whilst 2022 got off to a screaming start , it ended with a worrying decline in sales. This sadly led to downsizing our team and losing some valued employees.

Sales continued to decline in early 2023, but we took stock and worked hard to develop some solid growth plans. After attending some brilliant trade fair and researching methods, products and trends we were looking forward to launching spring sales with renewed enthusiasm and motivation.

Then my grandmother died suddenly and unexpectedly. This was made all the more difficult as she left behind my grandad who was incapable of caring for himself. After several months of juggling work, the kids, personal health issues and taking care of grandad, he too passed away.

Business was steadily declining and I believe this was due to lack of input. We weren’t creating new products, we weren’t marketing and the cost of living crisis were all playing a part.

With a dramatic drop in sales during our busiest seasons we were hopeful Christmas sales would pull us through to 2024. However, that was not to be, and with ongoing personal health issues the quiet 2023 has been something of a blessing in disguise.

That being said. I love this little business. I love what we make, I love making it and I love creating new products that hit those trends and bring happiness to our customers. I predict 2024 will be will be even more quiet due to personal circumstances, however I am quietly working away to try and make sure the business stays afloat despite difficulties behind the scenes.

We have a few new products to launch for the new year and we’re recruiting to help fill in some of the gaps as we plan ahead for business in 2024. Fingers crossed we will overcome this period of difficulty and the plans we made early in 2023 can finally be put into motion 🤞

For now, we’re wishing all our customers and followers a festive season filled with laughter, love, and cherished moments with loved ones. May the new year bring you all health, wealth and joy!

Christmas shop closing on 21st November!

It seems absolutely bonkers to be talking about closing the Christmas shop before December, but I’m already exhausted! I kid you not, we have been churning out over 100 Xmas eve boxes a week since the back end of August. People are ORGANISED this year!

I have placed my final order for pyjama bottoms and the last box order will be going in later this week.

There are already delays with UPS on our international shipments and when Black Friday hits I anticipate complete carnage.

That was HARD.

I've got to admit I don't think I have EVER felt/worked through such severe pressure. I know I'm not alone with this too.

I am really sorry for dropping off the radar here in Insta-land. We were having some lovely conversations about weddings and plans for the new year. My stories and behind the scene pictures and videos were getting so much engagement. I promised I will get back to that in the coming weeks (lets face it, we all love a good nosey!)

Despite the hold on life and work, business has been so incredibly busy, and my customers have been wonderful. People have really pulled together lately, and the message seems to be underpinning so many words and actions. The follow-up messages from customers to simply let me know that you've received your orders (and that they love them!) are lovely to hear at the best of times, but during this period of high stress, it has been a real saving grace. Thank you for being so lovely!
