Mystery... I adore capturing something that is beyond the obvious.
Smiles and laughter are fantastic to photograph. But when you get a glimps into someone's personality a little bit further - it's an absolute joy. And I'm very grateful when I'm allowed to see a little bit deeper under the surface.

I love photographing babies - at weddings and as a part of family sessions. And they seem to like me too! Not sure if it's my voice, my bright red hair or the glasses that I wear sometimes, but I seem to be an interesting subject for them. At least for a few seconds, and I'm happy with that, that's all I need, as most of the photos I take are documentary style 📷🤍
Here is adorable Griff with his mum, dad and more or less everyone else at the wedding holding him and his attention for a few minutes.

WINTER RAIN.
The noise outside my dark window right now means that the lazy little drizzle is turning into a full on rain. At least I don't have to go out tonight....

Ah I love catching those moments when babies are as cute, cuddly and lovely as this.
But let me tell you, it's not unusual to have much less peaceful moment at photo sessions too.. luckily we forget them quickly. And photos like these reinforce our happy memories 🥰
                                                         

You love your KIDS and kids adore their PETS.
Photographing kids and pets can be hard work for parents. Trying to exert control and spread love at the same time can be counterproductive and exhausting. I know I tried it with my own!

I couldn't be more happy for these two! Manon and Will have just welcomed a new addition to their family - a beautiful little boy! And I'm going to come and meet him and capture his first days with his mummy and daddy! I can't wait!!
Considering what an attentive husband Will is (look out for the photo of him sorting out Manon's veil) I've no doubt he is going to be the most doting father. And Manon, you look a complete natural with your baby already!!

* a prospect of going to a botanical garden
* a comedy club gig with three performers I've never heard of before but loved them all
* collecting red maple leaves on a walk

Helen and Scott have friends who had a barn wedding (fab!), a destination wedding (brilliant!) but for them personally there was only one choice - glam vintage. Amazing and so them. They looked incredible!

We plan, we research, we invest and... then it rains. So we do impromptu, spontaneous, off the cuff.
Konstantin is carrying his bride in the rain. This was a very wet part of the day. But they really wanted photos in the church grounds and didn't want to use the umbrellas in all the photos.

Creating something magical and beautiful for couples. Always. Despite the rain and covid facemasks.
Most of the day - documentary photography. And this is what we can do when for couple's portraits we literally can't move from one place.

Looking for some beautiful light.
Here, in the ruins of a beautiful church, evocative memories of a wonderful day. No posing, just being themselves.

First week uni assignment: "find objects or imagery which are embued with greater meaning than the physical forms alone"....
Imbued.... My new favourite word, I love the sentiment it brings!
Being associated, reminded and even connected somehow don't go deep enough.
So to put my new favourite word to use and following the assignment.... this pink palace that is for me is embued with extravagance, symbolic meanings of wealth and luxury, but also grace and comfort!! A real life fairytale!
As for associations, any pink interiors will always make me think of - they source fantastic European interior pieces, have a nosey if you like your interior design and give them a follow.
And what memories does bring? The most exquisite pastries. Piece. Of. Art. No photos was taken as I was too busy savouring them!
