Regarding the carry on Dubbin update
I am not getting into a debate on how or what the show should be
All the shows are becoming same as and the team tried something different last year just like this year with the convoy
Any negative posts will be deleted, not because we don’t want to hear them but because it gets silly and nasty and spirals out of control just like it is doing

Carry on Dubbin update
In 2023 we decided to shake it up a bit and have a classic show, this show had the ability to grow however due to rising cost we feel we need time out until things calm down with the credit crunch
We have decided for 2024 to organise a carry on cruise to run to the sun in Newquay
Details will follow but we are looking at starting from the north west stopping at a few points to meet others, maybe stop over and finally arrive at run to the sun show

Still quite a bit of merch left from the show. Post is £3.50 for up to 3 tshirts in 1 package. Tshirts and vests are £5 each and hoodies are very few sizes £10 each plus post. Each order comes with a free show sticker too. The team are back home now early for a change cause of you wonderful people, never have we had such clean campers, the field was left immaculate, the arena each night didn’t have to be cleaned as everyone put their waste in the bins before heading back to camp
So thank you so much for making life a lot easier for us this year and giving us chance to get home early and relax
And wow the class of vehicles in the show n shine has never been seen before at a small show, you really made it how we wanted it so again thank you everyone

Wolfspeed still has fantastic merchandise for sale. He seems to have lots of hoodies left as it’s cracking the flags but don’t forget the typical English weather it doesn’t last and we will need hoodies again soon so get some bought and be ready

Sunday 28th is the show n shine day, gates open at 10am, registration forms for the show n shine will be at the info area at the gate.
Day visitor tickets £10 cash only can be purchased at the gate. Weekend and day visitors can all enter the show n shine free with their tickets
We have some lovely classics attending and hope for some more on the day
We do have weekend camping tickets available for Volkswagen camping units only

Just to clarify about no caravans
We understand if your coming in a beetle you need something to sleep in so we have at our discretion allowed some different vehicles to attend as our aim is a classic old school show
Pucks, teardrops and pods are all fine
Twin axel caravans pulled by a non vw are not

There seems to be a little confusion, ultimately we want a classic show, just how they used to be, all shows have begun to turn into music festivals and a free for all for non vw people to come for a cheap weekend
We are not saying you can’t come (even though we are getting a lot of hate) we just want to encourage the classic vehicles and people who have stopped going to shows due to the above.
We are trying to be a little different and go back to basics
We have now opened it up to all Volkswagens but there is limited space due to us only using the flat camping field at manor farm

The end of the month is here so that means where opening tickets up now to all VW vehicles (as you know we have changed the show and some of the staff are different and we're going to grassroots classic style show) so inbox your ticket request to us with name number of people a contact email/number and vehicle details and were hoping to get it all sorted in the next week. Essentially this is a volkswagen show and we're trying to get it back to this

So who is bringing what? I've got my 69ghia and 79 bay and 89 t25 which will all be there. Jamie

Pre 1990 tickets are on sale to the end of the month then we will open it up to newer vehicles that are camping with there pre 1990 friends.

Carry on Dubbin update
There seems to be some confusion, hope the following post clears a few things
Carry on Dubbin as it was, finished and a few of the original organisers wanted to do something a little different, they love old Volkswagens and most shows including ours was going too commercial and we was seeing less and less of the classics
That is why they decided to host a show with a little difference with a few new people, new blood, new ideas
The name of the show will be carry on Dubbin presents carry on classics
The show will be back to basics, old school show as it used to be
The first wave of tickets will go out to pre 1990 Volkswagen owners, not because we don’t want you there but because we want the classics there as this is the shows theme
There will be tickets available for newer stuff etc but these will be limited
We understand the support you have all given us the past years and we are thankful,but the old show is no longer, the carry on Dubbin name has been kept because the organisers own it

Due to the overwhelming messages and encouraging response to our recent post, Carry on Dubbin is happening second may bank holiday 26th to 29th May 2023 at Manor Farm, Tattenhall, Chester
The new show will be a little different with the same twist and turns, tickets will be limited due to space and focused more on the classic Volkswagen cars and buses pre 1990
The management team will look a little different, some old faces and some new too
So save the date and keep a look out for ticket sales and updates soon
