Fly-tippers across Mid Cheshire face driving licence points as part of Conservative anti-social behaviour crackdown.

To help tackle anti-social behaviour across the country, the Conservatives have announced a raft of new measures to improve peoples’ neighbourhoods and encourage community cohesion.

Under the new plans, Conservatives will make fly-tipping an offence carrying penalty points against a driving licence, while the worst offenders will face the prospect of losing their licence altogether and prison time.

Other crackdowns on anti-social behaviour will include the ability to kick out anti-social tenants from neighbourhoods across Mid Cheshire.

Under new plans, after three proven instances of anti-social behaviour, local authorities and housing associations will be expected to evict tenants.

A common sense approach to 'pride in local communities'! I strongly support this announcement made by the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, around flytipping. As a local councillor in the area, for the Saughall & Mollington Ward, I encounter flytipping on a regular basis. It is a big problem that needs to be tackled with tougher action. This new policy is very welcome news!

As Conservatives, we believe that those who have worked hard their entire lives should have peace of mind and security in retirement.

That is why we are announcing the new Triple Lock Plus, which will raise the income tax threshold for pensioners to ensure the State Pension is always under the tax-free threshold and never subject to income tax – a tax cut of £100 next year.

Labour do not back our plan and they would drag millions of pensioners into paying income tax for the first time in history. The last Labour Government betrayed pensioners by offering a measly 75 pence annual uplift to the State Pension, followed by a £118 billion tax raid. As Labour’s number one tax adviser has made clear, if given the chance, they would do it all again.
