😌 Mental Health 😌

Being a first time parent is hard! It's isolating and can be quite lonely I know when I had my little boy venturing out was something I wasn't comfortable doing, what if he cried too much, what if I couldn't settle him, what if people stared and judged, what if I forgot his nappies or a change of clothes! It was hard and resulted in me stopping in alot and well going to the dark places in my mind 🥺

It needs to be talked about more how hard and isolating being a parent is especially to a newborn! I also want to assure all new parents or even growing families that Sorbo doesn't mind if your little one is crying, unsettled or causing a fuss, that's what babies do and we understand that here, alot of the ladies working here are parents and we understand how hard it is! We have lots of spare toiletries and clothes if you've forgotten anything we can help at no charge at all, and if we don't have it we will nip out and grab it for you so you can relax!

Being a parent is hard enough and sometimes coming out and having a simple conversation with another person lifts a weight of your shoulders and I'm always happy to have a natter about our little ones and reassure you it's all normal and it's never easy! ❤️

Please never feel like a burden on the outside world, we love seeing your little ones and we are always free for a chat 🥰

No purchase is ever needed feel free to come in breastfeed your little ones or bottle feed them, change thier nappies and just sit down for 2minutes ❤️

We are always here! Please use us and know you're always welcome and never a problem, nor are your children, we are all growing and learning. Let's do it together 🥰

Parent and baby group! 🧸

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, we will be reserving our sofa near the play area for anyone who wants to come and speak with any other parents with little ones!
This is very informal, and a great chance to get to meet some new friends!

There’s no time you have to be here for it’s a casual meet up we will reserve off the area and parents can come take a seat and have a natter!

We have so many lovely regular customers in our lounge and these fine young men are no exception!

Without a doubt we'll be seeing these fine fellows for a lovely morning coffee today! And we've got their table ready and waiting for them 🥰

They have also asked me to challenge you guys to see if you can guess what they used to do for work? Any and all answers welcome! They are looking for a laugh 🤣

Attention all 20s to 30s in and around the local area! Starting on Wednesday 31st of July at 7.30pm we will be accommodating a new Social Group hosted by the lovely Alexandra!

“The aim of this group is to meet up for a casual drink/chat on the last Wednesday of the month in the evening, to get to know some new young people and hopefully make some new friends. Sorbo Lounge has kindly agreed to let us hold this here. All we ask is if you are intending to come to an event, please accept the event invite, this helps us know how many to expect to meet thank you.
I moved up to Chesterfield in 2022 and couldn't really find many social groups that catered to this age group - hopefully we can get this off the ground & it can become a success. Any updates about events will be posted in the Facebook group. Look forward to seeing you there. To join the Facebook Group and attend the event please contact [email protected] for instructions.”

We’re delighted that England have reached the final of the Euros, which is at 8pm on Sunday. Bearing in mind, we’ve decided to close sites in England at 7pm this Sunday evening, enabling our teams to watch the game with family or friends. Last food orders will be at 6.30pm.
