Pregnancy Yoga returns to LANO Southsea in September.
After the success of Eloise's first 4-week course, the experienced midwife and yoga instructor is offering another month of classes.
During the course, attendees can expect to focus their mind and connect with their body and baby.
They can also expect to use breathwork and create balance in the pelvis, which will bring about greater comfort in the body and a calm inner sense of self.
The course starts on Friday 6th September and runs for four weeks, with the final class taking place on Friday 27th September.
It is open to all pregnant bodies from 12 weeks onwards.
Participants can do the full 4-week course or pay for single sessions. The full course costs £50 whereas single classes cost £15 each.

If the idea of hot yoga during the warmer summer weather puts you off, don't let it! It actually has many benefits.
Here are just a few of them:
1) Your body acclimatises to the heat of the studio, so the more you do hot yoga, the more quickly your body will adapt to summer temperatures outside of the room as well.
2) The warm up postures will feel a bit easier if you step into a hot studio when it's warm outside, meaning that you'll be able to get into the deeper stretches more quickly.
3) You'll be encouraged to drink more water! We should drink more water in the summer anyway but doing hot yoga in the summer will definitely get you drinking more to replenish the fluids you lose while practising.
4) Hot yoga is an excellent workout for the heart thanks to the combination of heat and physical exertion. This is especially great in summer, when maintaining cardiovascular health is crucial.
5) It'll keep you fit for all the outdoor activities that you want to do in the summer - walking, swimming, surfing, whatever it is, you'll be ready for it!
6) You'll be able to re-energise yourself after possible overindulgence in summer food and drinks - think BBQs, ice-creams, those cheeky beers! Sweating can aid in cleansing your organs, muscles and glands, and it gets rid of those bad toxins that slow you down on the warm summer days.
7) You get to breathe properly and you get to enjoy some 'you time', which is always essential when the summer social calendar is full and you need a bit of peace among the hustle.

Our Yin and Sound Bath sessions are pure bliss.
If you haven't yet attended one, we highly recommend you do.
This short video gives you an insight into what goes on - the sounds, the silence, the stillness.
Alice leads a Yin Yoga class while Florence, whose graceful movements you can see in this video, plays a live sound bath score of gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, drums and chimes.
We host our Yin and Sound Bath Journey periodically and the next one takes place this month.

Summer may give us energy and vibrancy, but sometimes we are all in need of some restoration and quiet time.
Cue yoga!
Yoga can be energising and powerful or it can be restful and restorative, and exploring the latter when our body and soul are calling out for it can be extremely beneficial.
In fact, restorative styles of yoga can improve sleep, reduce stress, improve breathing, deepen relaxation and improve mindful thinking.
Have you tried our slower classes? If not, come along and give them a go. We offer Gentle and Slow at both studios.
Gentle takes your body through a full range of movement in a gentler way. It is suitable for everybody and can be adapted to your personal needs and requirements.
Slow combines both Yin and Restorative Yoga and postures are held for 3-5 minutes. Props such as blocks and bolsters are used to allow you to make all postures as restorative as you like.

Jewellery pop-up at LANO Southsea! 📿
Our lovely yogi, Charlie Smith, is going to be holding a small exhibition of her bespoke jewellery on Saturday 13th July.
Charlie is a home stylist and jewellery designer with impeccable taste, so make sure you come along to see some of the pieces she has for sale.

Yoga is truly transformational and allows us to go on a journey of self-discovery. It also allows us to bring some light to the darkness - and we all know that the world can be a dark place sometimes.
Today is about celebrating yoga, all that it brings and all that it allows us to be, so if you can find some time to get on your mat today, we encourage you to do so ✨

⚡ Student spotlight! ⚡
Congratulations to Daniel, one of our regular yogis, for completing a gruelling 115km ultramarathon in Madeira.
With more than 7,000 metres of elevation, the race was going to be hard enough, but Daniel also had to contend with cold temperatures, wind and heavy rain.
Plus, what makes this feat even more amazing is that he completed it wearing his trainers.
Daniel said that his yoga practice and the mobility training that he has been doing with LANO Run Club has been of huge importance and has really helped his sports performance.
Well done Daniel, incredible work 💪

Join Matt next week for a complimentary community class.
Matt will be offering a Classic style class and would love for you to join him.
Some of you may know Matt already as he's been attending classes at LANO Chichester for years. He also has a long history of meditation, Chi Kung and Kung Fu practice, which has added a lot to his yoga practice.
Matt undertook a rigorous multi-style yoga teacher training at One Yoga in Thailand and has been developing his own style of teaching since then.
Matt's classes are a relaxed safe-space and aim to help you find a deeper connection to your spiritual nature. There's also an emphasis on the yoga philosophies that link our minds and bodies and see meditation as an integral part of yoga.

Join them for a beautiful evening of deep restoration and sound healing.
The special session will offer a combination of Yin and Restorative Yoga postures set to a live sound bath score using gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, drums and chimes.
You will move through 60 minutes of floor-based yoga postures to allow for more ease and space in the body before settling into stillness in order to absorb the vibrations and sounds created by the singing bowls and chimes.

Hot Pilates is coming to LANO Chichester 🔥
Yes, we're mixing it up a bit and we're adding Hot Pilates to the timetable next month...and we can't wait!
The exciting new class will be led by Madison Burgess, a fitness instructor and professional dance artist from Canada who is currently based in Chichester.
Madison has taught in both Canada and the UK and has been teaching Pilates & Barre in the Chichester community for nearly 3 years.
Her passion for these practices began when she was seeking a form of movement that complemented her dance career but also helped with injury prevention.
We're really looking forward to welcoming Madison to the studio and we hope you are too.
We'll be posting more information about what to expect from the classes very soon so keep an eye out for that.

Our first week of Hot 26&2 teacher training with in stunning rural France has been completed. And what a week it was!
We're not going to lie, it was an intense week of learning, practising and teaching, but it was so very worth it.
We learnt so much about Hot 26&2 in all aspects and we're excited about putting our new found knowledge into use.
We want to thank Kristen and Johnny for their wise words, their professionalism and, above all, their patience. We must also thank them for the amazing flood and smoothies they lovingly made for us each day.
Oh, and we can't not thank Bear the dog for being such a cutie 🐕
We now have another month of study (and lots of practice!) before heading back to France for more training. Wish us luck!
