Lead Front of House
We’re looking for an experienced person(s) to join our friendly, family-run bistro in Charlbury in a lead front of house role. The right candidate will bring a vibrancy to the business and deliver consistent, excellent customer service to Amarelo’s customers.
The role - responsibilities will include:
• Providing a great customer experience
• Managing reservations and point of sale systems
• Accurate order taking and payment, serving meals.
• Making and serving coffee, cocktails and other beverages (training provided).
• Co-ordinating with the kitchen
• Preparing and maintaining tables and customer space
• Maintaining bar stock levels
The person - Hard working, team player, well presented, confident with customers, efficient, organised, good attention to detail, calm under pressure.
Hours - Wed - Sun (daytime). Fri & Sat (evening)

Kitchen Assistant
We’re looking for an additional team member to join this friendly, family-run bistro in Charlbury. The kitchen assistant role supports the chef in daily activities.
The role - responsibilities will include:
• Kitchen organisation (mise en place)
• Food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping, measuring)
• Assisting with plating dishes +
• Workspace cleaning
• Ad hoc dishwashing
The person - This is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for food, and wishes to stay longer term to develop skills for a junior chef position. Full training will be provided.
Some experience is desirable, but efficiency and the right attitude are more important.
Hours - Wed - Sun (daytime). Fri & Sat (evening)

*Mexican Night at Amarelo*

To spice things up a little, on *Thursday 20th June 6 - 9pm* we have invited local caterer, .oxford to cook some delicious Mexican food at *Amarelo Bistro*.

We will be serving *Nachos* with a choice of three fillings:
• shredded chicken, chipotle chillies and Spanish paprika with chipotle salsa
• pulled pork with epazote, cumin, garlic and lime with pineapple and chilli sauce
• vegan soya chilli with chipotle salsa
All options are gluten-free and come with Black Beans, Vegan GF Cheese Sauce, Pico de Gallo, Jalapenos and Coriander.

Come to Amarelo to enjoy coffee and cake from 10am Saturday and Sunday. Light bites, lunch or supper too.

This week’s lunchtime special at Amarelo is Ratatouille with white beans, poached eggs and flatbread. It seems like a simple and humble dish, but done well, it punches well above its weight, a summer stunner bursting with Mediterranean flavours!

A slow start to the growing season this year (rain, cold nights), but some produce is starting to cropping in good quantities at last; this week's stall (Weds-Sat) will offer some beautiful fresh new season spinach (a big basket of this will also be heading to the lovely .bistro in Charlbury), swiss chard, and a few of the very first of this years courgettes (with flowers), plus of course free-range eggs from and 'melody' maincrop potatoes from Combe ....and it won't be long until our home grown Casablanca appear!

We also have some surplus seed trays, cloche hoops and film, chitting trays and plant pots for sale at around cost price.
