As an umbrella term that encompasses a variety of gender identities, expressions and experience, today we celebrate everyone within the community who identify beyond the binary! 💛🤍💜🖤⁠

Next Saturday is our Gender Diversity Group for all trans+ individuals based in Suffolk/North East Ess*x 🏳️‍⚧️

For anyone yet to attend, here's a snapshot of what to expect - a warm and welcoming atmosphere for you to meet people, make new friends and develop your community 🙂

Last month's attendees took part in a Pride-themed flower workshop with the lovely Gina from the ActivBlooms Project 🌺

This month, take part in a gentle session of movement and mindfulness from - flexibility not required but relaxation guaranteed! 🧘‍♂️

Though we may be into our second week of July, the buzz from Pride Month continues! 😍

We loved experiencing a variety of local Prides uplifting and celebrating the community! 😊

It was great to meet so many different people, with the hope of seeing as many as possible step through our purple door and join the OutHouse Community 💜🌈

It's Time for Another Creative Workshop!

After their successful pop-up performances with Pride Month's KALEIDOSCOPE Project, Mary Ann is ready to get you to unlock your inner poet! ✍

Running Tuesday 30th Jul, 2-4pm, experience an afternoon of complete creative freedom with this poetic pro 😁

It's Non-Binary Awareness Week - a time to recognise Non-Binary individuals and the spectrum of gender identities that exist 💛🤍💜🖤⁠

Know that you are seen, you are valid and your existence beyond the binary is to be celebrated and respected! 🙌

Inside the groundbreaking Colchester's LGBTQIA+ charity helping the city The OutHouse is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and it offers a range of support for LGBTQIA+ people across Ess*x.

Pride Month may be over, but the importance of representation continues! 🙌

Recently, The OutHouse proudly collaborated with ESNEFT on a Pronouns Project that saw the design of bespoke Pronoun Badges - offering colleagues the opportunity to express their gender with confidence and pride 🥰

A great success amongst staff members, 50+ badges were taken in just three days! 😃

With They/Them badges added to a number of lanyards, it was lovely to see an increase in individuals feeling comfortable enough to express their gender neutrality 😊

To round off Pride Month, Sixth Form's LGBTQ+ Society held a badge-making stall on campus to raise money for The OutHouse - resulting in a splendid £53 raised 😊

All such efforts to support the work we do are so greatly appreciated and it's wonderful to see students embracing their identity and expressing themselves with pride! 🌈

Last week, The OutHouse opened its doors to professional partners and potential new members of our wonderful OutHouse community - showcasing our welcoming space and the many services we provide 🌈
