The Outhouse is a registered charity seeking to offer support and information to the LGBTQ+ community of Ess*x. Based in Colchester city centre, we provide a range of services, support and social groups.

We loved experiencing a variety of local Prides uplifting and celebrating the community! π

Inside the groundbreaking Colchester's LGBTQIA+ charity helping the city The OutHouse is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and it offers a range of support for LGBTQIA+ people across Ess*x.
Pride Month may be over, but the importance of representation continues! π
Recently, The OutHouse proudly collaborated with ESNEFT on a Pronouns Project that saw the design of bespoke Pronoun Badges - offering colleagues the opportunity to express their gender with confidence and pride π₯°
A great success amongst staff members, 50+ badges were taken in just three days! π
With They/Them badges added to a number of lanyards, it was lovely to see an increase in individuals feeling comfortable enough to express their gender neutrality π
To round off Pride Month, Sixth Form's LGBTQ+ Society held a badge-making stall on campus to raise money for The OutHouse - resulting in a splendid Β£53 raised π
All such efforts to support the work we do are so greatly appreciated and it's wonderful to see students embracing their identity and expressing themselves with pride! π
