About us

As followers of St Vincent de Paul, we aim to live by his rule of kindness by putting faith in action and reaching out to the lonely and most vulnerable in society. Our mission is to offer friendship and practical support to anyone regardless of their faith and/or lifestyle choices. We see protecting our beneficiaries as a priority and all our members adhere to safeguarding requirements.

Since setting up our Colchester conference in 2017 we have supported the homeless with a monthly soup run, providing sandwiches and hot drinks to the most vulnerable. We have regularly visited our beneficiaries who are either housebound or in care homes. We have provided financial assistance and purchased school uniforms, white goods, and equipment. Our weekly coffee morning has provided a popular space to meet for a chat over a cuppa and a cake.

Thanks to our enthusiastic team of volunteers we have been able to find ways to continue this work throughout the Covid crisis and have provided practical assistance when the need has arisen. We look forward to restarting our coffee morning when the current restrictions are lifted.

If you or anyone you know would benefit from our help, please contact us by sending an email to [email protected], or getting in touch at 07493 439427, and we will respond.
