Did you know that if you receive child benefit, you could apply for one of our family loans of up to £500?
You pay it back from your child benefit, and save a little at the same time. We have lots of families already borrowing and saving with us, and we follow the same rules and regulations as the high street banks have to.
We look at the affordability of the loan for you, but we don't do traditional credit checks - our service is based around your current situation and circumstances.
Illustration:
A parent receiving child benefit for one child joins Holdfast, applies for, and is approved for a loan for £500.
They pay back £11.49 a week, and save £5.00 a week - the remaining £9.11 is paid back into their bank account.
After 52 weeks, their loan is cleared, and they have £260 in savings.
The total interest paid is £96.66 - the interest is charged on the decreasing balance, so if they make an overpayment, they pay less interest over all.
There are no arrangement fees, and no penalties for overpayments.
Our loans come with free loan protection, and your savings are insured too.
If you would like to find out more, get a quote, or apply, just go to our website www.holdfastcreditunion.co.uk or if you have questions, you can drop us an email at [email protected]

It’s Mental Health awareness week. Today and every day, so many people are suffering.
Two posts have touched me and come to my attention today. One is from Kim, sharing something of the pain of losing her husband to chronic alcoholism, but also the self-care and compassion journey she has been on which has resulted in Blossome support. ❤️🩹
The second relates to Dementia Care. The following link was sent from Mark Neville (Alzheimer’s Society Community Development Coordinator Essex Community Dementia Support Service). It may be something you will enjoy watching and listening to.
