Paul Carr - "The Man from Macedonia” - Sunday 2nd June 2024
https://youtu.be/aRzr0boFUQ4
The Man from Macedonia – Acts 16:6-10 Paul and his companions travelled through Phrygia and Galatia, led by the Holy Spirit. In Troas, Paul had a vision of a man from Macedonia begging for help. Concluding that God had called them to preach there, they set off immediately.
Paul, on his second missionary journey, responded to the Holy Spirit’s guidance, moving from place to place. Despite challenges, his determination to spread the gospel never wavered. His encounters, like meeting Jesus on the road to Damascus, were unique and powerful, showing that each of us can meet Christ in our own way.
Key Points:
1 Love Each Other: Prioritize loving your team. Unity brings God’s blessing.
2 Love the People: Build relationships. Engage with those who seem reluctant. Be Jesus to them.
3 Listen to the Holy Spirit: Act on His promptings without hesitation. Make every moment count.
4 Use Your Gifts: Embrace opportunities. Don’t be intimidated; the Holy Spirit works through you. We’re stepping out in faith to serve Christ. We need your prayers and support as we face opposition. Just as David shared the spoils with those who stayed behind, your prayers make you part of this mission. Together, we’ll share in what God is doing. Join us in prayer and support as we embark on this mission. Let’s build and strengthen God’s Kingdom together!

Paul Carr - "Letting Go” - Sunday 26th May 2024
https://youtu.be/OBPgkz1F5oI
"Letting Go: Spiritual Decluttering for a Transformed Life"
This talk reflects on the parallels between physical clutter and spiritual baggage, suggesting that just as we can accumulate unnecessary items in our homes, we can also hold onto harmful emotions and memories in our spiritual lives. The speaker contrasts their own difficulty in discarding unused items with the minimalist lifestyle of friends, and extends this metaphor to spiritual practices, emphasizing the importance of letting go of past hurts and forgiving others. Today we draw on Biblical passages to illustrate the message, particularly Isaiah 61, which speaks of bringing good news and comfort to the broken-hearted, and emphasizes that Christians should be close to those who are suffering. They also mention Proverbs 25:8 and Psalm 139 to highlight the importance of seeking God's guidance and understanding His role versus our responsibilities. The talk encourages a focus on forgiveness and obedience to God, In conclusion, the talk urges listeners to examine their spiritual health, seek healing for past wounds, and live in accordance with God’s will.

Paul Carr - "What Will You Choose" - Sunday 12th May 2024
https://youtu.be/AEM1RCqGZTs
"Discipline vs. Regret: What Will You Choose?" Life offers two choices: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. While living, we can address our regrets through confession, repentance, and forgiveness. Jesus’ parable of the talents highlights the eternal significance of using our gifts to serve God, emphasizing the rewards of faithfulness. Like a house requiring maintenance, our lives need discipline to manage sin and trauma. Apostle Paul speaks of self-discipline as essential for achieving God’s rewards. Embrace the discipline of confessing sins, loving others, and keeping commitments to avoid regrets and inherit God’s full blessings. Choose to live faithfully and with purpose to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Let's delve into the profound insights of Hebrews 12, where we find a powerful reflection on the boundless love our heavenly Father has for us. This love, so beautifully depicted, teaches us that amidst the pains of regret, there exists a transformative force—the pain of discipline. Just as an earthly father corrects and guides his children, our heavenly Father does so with immeasurable care and compassion. Through this lens, we learn that the challenges we face are not merely moments of regret, but opportunities for growth and refinement, nurtured by the loving hand of our Creator.
