Indoor Winter Training 2024-2025 (Women and Girls Softball Cricket ) We are a newly launched Women’s and Girls’ Softball Cricket Club for 2024, based at Copsewood West Indian Wanderers Cricket Club. Our winter training sessions will run from Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, until March 2025 at King Henry Sports Hall. We welcome women and girls of all abilities, ages 10 and above. This summer, our team participated in the Softball Cricket Festivals organized by the Warwickshire Cricket Board. We also took part in the Warwickshire Cricket Board’s Women’s Softball Hundreds Tournament 2024, where we proudly secured 4th place in the league. Join us to enjoy cricket! Our female coaches are fully qualified by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The last match of the Women’s Softball Hundred was played at Kenilworth Cricket Club on Monday, the 3rd, at 6:00 pm. Kenilworth won the toss and chose to field. CWIWCC batted first and set a decent target of 85 runs. However, Kenilworth’s batting lineup struggled against CWIWCC’s bowling and tight fielding, finishing their innings with just 54 runs. A convincing victory for CWIWCC. Congratulations!

Fifty 18th August 2024 Stratford Upon Avon cc

The CWIWCC women’s team participated in the Fifty tournament organized at Stratford Upon Avon CC on Sunday, the 18th. Four teams competed in the fast-paced tournament, and CWIWCC performed exceptionally well with its new lineup. It was a great opportunity for the team to gain experience at a competitive level of cricket. The CWIWCC team played under the name “Oval Invincibles.”

Abdullah Asmari absolutely crushed it with his top-class bowling performance! 👏🏻 Abdullah took a whopping 6 wickets against Old Edwardians cricket club in Warwickshire on Saturday, 17th August 2024. Even more impressive, he gave 52 runs in 12 overs for 6 wickets . To top it off, he contributed 11 valuable runs with the bat, securing a crucial victory for the club. CWIWCC Ladies continue their season in style! In the Women 100s Softball Cricket League group-2, they faced off against Long Itchington CC in a 4-pair match, with the sun finally making an appearance ☀️on Friday 16th. The Long Itchington CC secured a victory in a match that was played in great spirits, with both teams showcasing plenty of wickets and boundaries. Final Score: Copsewood WIWCC - 267 / 7 long Itchington CC - 286/ 4
