NSS 2022. PAIS top again in every category among Russell Group peers.

The Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) is thrilled to announce that, for the third year in a row, we are placed 1st for “overall student satisfaction” among Russell Group Politics Departments in the 2022 National Student Survey (NSS). This is a position that we are proud to have held for 5 out of the past 7 years.

In the NSS 2022, PAIS came top in every category among Russell Group Politics Departments for the second year in a row.

NSS 2022: PAIS top again in every category among Russell Group peers The Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) is thrilled to announce that, for the third year in a row, we are placed 1st for “overall student satisfaction” among Russell Group Politics…

The Department has exceptionally good news to share as we celebrate the results of the UK’s Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise. PAIS has maintained its proud record of finishing in the top ten in our subject field in every REF-based league table of the last twenty years. We are one of only three UK departments in this position.

Amongst many other successes, rankings data produced by the Times Higher Education show that we retain our position as the number one ranked politics department on the all-important research environment measure.

We have worked hard to ensure that every member of our community has the opportunity to thrive as an independent researcher, whether they are starting their PAIS undergraduate degrees or have been members of our professoriate for many years.

REF 2021 We have proved once again to be an outstanding research department. REF results can be interpreted in various ways, whether the metric is GPA, intensity, power or market share. Whatever the measure, we are in the top ten of every REF league table since the current grading system was introduced.

In collaboration with the EU Jean Monnet Network, “Between the EU and Russia,” PAIS are organising an online roundtable to shed light on the current political developments in Ukraine after Russia’s invasion in February 2022.

Warwick International Development Society (WIDS) is proud to announce that we are hosting a summit on Sunday the 26th of February under the theme of Sustainable Finance, with the support of Warwick Enterprise and Warwick's Politics Department.

Our expert panels will tackle green investment and additionally the impact that innovations in finance could have on international development. There will be a careers workshop for everyone who is considering professional opportunities in this area, and attendees will be able to network and socialise with plenty of refreshments provided!

This is the perfect chance for those interested in finance, international development and sustainability issues to learn about how the world could protect the environment and foster economic growth at the same time through sustainable finance.

We are delighted to announce that the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) at the University of Warwick has moved up to 3rd place out of 80 UK Politics Departments in The Times/The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022.
